I’ve noticed law enforcement and the government concentrating on everything EXCEPT what’s important lately too.

I do not even consider the possibility that they can or will protect me anymore, i depend only on myself for that.

I have armed myself at considerable expense, and suggest every citizen do the same.

I really don’t like the looks of ANYTHING I see in the news anymore, and most of my news comes from here.

The trend is not good.

That’s my line of thinking, too. My kids need a daddy.

Agreed - the police in my area expended great resources last night to harass and intimidate EVERY driver who happened by, with NO probable cause at all. I’m sure out of the hundreds of innocent citizens who were jackbooted they got a DUI arest or outstanding warrant or two, but that is not how to do police work. Most of us were just intimidated with flashlights in our faces, talked down to, forced to stop our commerce, etc. It is sickening. Meanwhile, there were likely numerour real crimes being committed in the surrounding area with little attempt at enforcement of law.

Ironically witnesses did say a 3rd party stole the bike before the cops arrived.

Obviously, the good people of San Francisco need to have a law requiring bicycle registration. Then the police could get the real criminals off the street.

The sad thing is that law to obtain a concealed carry permit is unconstitutional. The second amendment say the right to keep and BEAR arms will not be infringed on. This crap started a couple of hundred years ago when cities and law enforcement started passing ordinances to stop people from carrying a gun in public. No body fought it back then and now they want to pass more laws restricting your 2nd amendment rights.

That's directly across the street from where I used to work.

Well, you either pestered people endlessly with tax questions, or built a nuclear bomb. You don't have to tell me which. It's going to be interesting to find out just who did this.

PS: Hope everything is going OK for you. Love your jokes. You must reveal your source to me someday!

Agreed. In fact, gun control has very racist roots as well.

I was there exactly one month ago at the same time in PetSmart adopting my new puppies. They’ve really spruced up the mall recently and it’s a shame this happened. When I was growing up, my mom never allowed me to shop at Ward Parkway because of the crime but this was an isolated incident. Prayers to the victims and their families.

I actually think the rank n file cops try to do their jobs. The problem seems to be with the DA’s office (no death penalty even for cop killers) and the political establishment. SF has an awfully low rate for solving homicide cases.

or built a nuclear bomb.

Actually I used to inspect non-nuclear components for nuclear weapons and that is all I can tell you. Now I make plastic food containers :-(

Love your jokes. You must reveal your source to me someday!

Nope, nada, never. A girl has to have some secrets.

I understand that the people of SF are mostly good, decent people - especially the police. But they have an elected government (that writes the laws) that would make Marx, Stalin and Mao blush.

You get the government that you elect.

The problem comes if you ever need it and have to deal with the heat after the fact of breaking the law.

Just because a store tells you that you cannot carry doesn't mean it is against the law to do so. Private organizations can make all kinds of policy for their property but they cannot make actual laws in the process of doing so.

Thus just because a mall has a sign posted "no guns" doesn't mean jack. The most you can get nailed for criminally is trespassing, if you even get nailed for that. Trespassing is a very minor ticket when you just saved your or someone else's life.

Each State of course is going to be different, but that's why I live where I do.

Don't ask, don't tell is the best policy for CCW.
