I want to see Nifong, who clearly ought to be considered a fully responsible human being, charged with a crime for this self-serving prosecution.

Here in NC, methadone is prescribed pretty freely for chronic pain conditions.
I’m shocked at the number of people around here who suffer from ‘chronic pain conditions’ and take very high power pain killers.

If she’s a regular drug user/abuser,she may take those scripts just to function.MJ,alcohol,crack,etc are just icing on the cake.She’s a junkie who was trashed before,during,and after the party,yet her statement was accepted as gospel by Nifong.Prediction:she’ll turn up dead one of these days,and no one will notice.

Paxil and amitriptyline are both antidepressants. Paxil is an SSRI, amitriptyline (Elavil) is a more classic tricyclic. They should never be taken concurrently.
Methadone is given to help relieve heroin addiction, she we know what she has been “on” before.

I disagree..
I believe this case has simply HIGHLIGHTED the TRUTH about the non assimilation of a very large segment of our black population into what most of us consider the essence and opportunity of American society.....and highlighted their racist animosity toward non-blacks.
The intentionally ignorant, white hating, poverty pimp agitated rabble -- who have convinced themselves that all their needs must be gratified by American taxpayers -- are a fact and they are a fact in large numbers...

I still think it is important to prosecute Crystal. She is not above the law - even though the law is treating her as if she were.
Someone is being protected and they must be pretty important. It’s not Crystal.
methadone is used as an analgesic, especially for chronic pain, and also especially for pain in potential addicts (so they won’t get addicted to a less manageable opioid). That said, with how some doctors play fast and loose with prescriptions there are probably a lot of methadone prescriptions that are about as dubious as medical marijuana prescriptions.
