Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

If you post a Supo here then I’ll start a vanity thread, per request. I noticed that the keyword for the thread Fiddlstix wrote was “non-opus” and that led to one other thread. I entered updated it with they keyword “Supo”.

MEMORIES!!!!!!!!

So, maybe I’ll write a non-opus-opusi too.

NEVER to be outdone by yours...oh, trust me. Yours was The Best!!!

Dang Jim, I’m a little concerned about this decsion.
Why did it take you so long? LOL. Bottom line is that he is the same troll with a different tactic.

Why do you keep doing that, Sam?

Are you getting prepared to opus and the articles you've been posting is your way of leading to it?

He’s got his Mojo workin! LOL.

If he comes out pro abortionist, he can go back to the Leper colony. Assuming they’ll have him. Bwaahahahah!

The mods and many old time FReepers have been begging me to zot his sorry ass ever since he got here.

He's gone.

Can't say I'm surprised--or sorry. I think Dominic Harr was of the Tom Daschle "I'm just so very, very softspoken and polite that I can utter any evil and get away with it" ilk. I noticed he didn't answer any of the very clear and reasonable questions he received about his "social liberal and political conservative" claim. He just changed the subject.

Jim, may I say that this is the most fascinating thread I've seen in some time, and I'm just furious that I didn't discover it until late yesterday. I've only been able to read the first 500+ and the latest 700+ posts, but clearly you're doing some pruning of the libs, and I agree with your decision to do so. You're right--this is a forum for conservatives, and having too many trolls around is not conducive to intelligent discussion. I won't miss any of the people you've banned--I've been finding them pretty annoying for some time.

In addition, I admire trememdously your clear, ringing articulation and defense of conservative philosophy and positions. This forum is a joy, and I'm just sorry I didn't find it before 2005. Thank you so much for creating and maintaining it.

I don’t see anything particularly wrong in that post. If true, he was having a bad day in the other post. I still support him because he is anti-abortion. He has never killed an unborn baby. He tries to save them. Where is the crime in Gods eyes? His words, or an abortion doctor killing an innocent baby?

I don't think you get it.

The crackdown here has been on those who wanted to debate core conservative values, rather than how to implement them.

If the ultimate goal isn't to implement "core conservative values" why even bother to debate them??
And you don't think I "get it"? LMAO!

I really don’t have anything to say, that I’m sure has already been said...it’s just that with 7,000+ posts...I wanted to be a part of it.

I am so impressed and flattered that you and others remember my FR ID from eight years ago. I have to admit I don’t know you from Adam. (Or care ot.)

But I don’t understand your question. I am simply pointing out that this has happened before. That is, JimRob has announced a direction or preferred candidate in years past.

As the owner of this forum it is of course his prerogative and I have never questioned or criticized him for it. Ever.

Though some people always seem to be surprised that he would take such a direct tack.

Moreover, I am actually in general agreement that FR has become over-run with non-conservatives in recent years. Any Ann Coulter thread of late would tell you that.

“””Do you wish FR to be a place where pro-choice folks don’t feel free to chat? If so, please accept my apologies . . .”””

Personally, I’m not looking for the endless debating of left-right issues.

I’m looking for discussion on how to further our cause politically, how to counter the enemies efforts, and how to better verbalize and defend conservatism.

I have already taken a position on most of the issues, that is why I am here.

Am I allowed to chortle? I wouldn’t want to offend anyone who might think that I was dancing on Dominic’s demise, or anything like that?

How about a snicker? You think that’d be ok?

Why anyone would throw their weight in an opus, onto the scales against FR, is beyond me. I saw that (sort of) happen today. What were they thinking moment?

I hope you don’t mind my pointing out some of your posts about W in the past. Such as:

As for my politics, I am and have been a conservative far longer that you.

You were a proud “life-long Democrat” until *after* the 2000 elections, remember.

Did you even vote for Reagan when he was running for Governor. I seem to recall John saying you had no interest in politics until Iran-Contra.

Anyway, I am strongly anti-abortion and would not vote for Giuliani unless it was a case of him or Mrs. Bill Clinton.

But the idea of having to prove my conservative bona fides to you is a bit laughable.

I probably account for several hundred of those page views.
