We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?
"I like it there, too. I like it here, altho these days mainly on the archaeology and non-political threads."
"Don't worry (I'm sure you were!), I won't opus out and leave. I've been flamed far worse than here, let me tell you! I have a thick skin."
"My main reason for finally commenting on this thread is I'm very worried about the future of FR. It's gone from a politically conservative discussion board to a socially conservative political activism board. I don't know if that change will work out for FR in the long run."
~~snip~~
"I'm pro-choice"
You are the enemy. Snip, snip. Drop. Drop. Neutered. That's one way you take care of unwanted/inconvenient pregnancies. You'll never have to worry about choice again. He's gone.
Yep. I'd rather wake up to find my political party lost an election than try to explain to my maker why I turned my back on what I know is right.
Another thread which is typical of JimRob’s thoughts about George W. Bush at the time:

A Bush presidency will be very dangerous for America.

Bush II is simply another term for Bush I. No thanks. Been there, done that.

By the way, I must’ve missed the years that Reagan’s father was President of the USA. Also, I hardly believe that GW’s experience sitting on the boards of ailing oil companies (as favors granted his powerful father) and collecting big bucks is the best experience (from a constituent’s point of view) for becoming Governor or President. Nor do I believe the experience he gained by misusing tax dollars for private (the stadium deal) gain is a shining beacon of trust. From my point of view all I see is a powerful daddy pulling in markers from his rich and influential friends. And there aint no way you’ll ever convince me that Bush is even one/tenth the statesman or conservative that Reagan was. There is NO comparison.

Bush scares the bejeebies outta me. Looks like his father got us into this mess and Clinton stepped it up. Now Bush II comes in to finish the job. Guess we’ll all be speaking Chinese soon, or not at all.

Yup. Bush II is simply a continuation of the failed Bush I.

Amen, brother.
Good post.
Gosh. They just keep walking right into the firesack.
Looks like “dominic harr” got what he wanted. he said he was pro-choice, so Mr. Robinson aborted him!

See #7721
Can’t resist saying, “Harr-harr-harr”...
and another one gone, and another one gone. Another one bites the dust. It’s so very sad. Buh Bye now.
Thank you for defending the babies who cannot defend themselves.
Ouch.
That's gonna leave a mark.
Fred Thompson can beat her. People just can’t help liking Fred, even when they disagree with him. His producer Dick(?)Wolf wants him to run, and he voted for Clinton.
But he also has backbone. He was the one holdout on several 99-1 Senate votes dealing with federalism. If you haven’t read
anything on him, I urge you to find a Fred thread and search for a “jellybean” Fred Bing list. Her pings have a link to a great database.
I am firmly convinced he will be running. There is no other explanation for why he is blogging explanations for some of the votes and opinions on which conservatives might question him.
Mojo, are you attempting seppuku?
Excellent point. Thank You.
Yeah, Travis would join you on FR defending Rudy and your slide to the left. /s
Dominic Harr bites the dust.
“I’m pro-choice.”
I couldn’t believe that someone who hangs around this forum for awhile , would say that to the founder, considering how clear HE is on the practice of abortion.
