Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

Were you ready to storm the barricades if Bush was elected in 2000?

(I bet you were.)

To clarify, if he declares, Law and Order will be forced to run older re-runs which Thompson did not appear in. His producer wants him to run, so I think that will probably work out, as long as the first run episodes are able to show.

But there's a big difference between Fred Thompson declaring, and merely forming an exploratory committee which he has yet to do, correct?

And as a side note, not directed to you, this vicious bloodbath at FR makes me ill. It's April of 2007, and no debate has even been held, much less the first vote cast.

The bloodlust is an amazing spectacle. A lot of folks I've agreed with and disagreed with over the years are gone.

I'll miss them even if I usally disagreed with them. I never thought they weren't conservatives, just perhaps a different flavor.

By all means, we will debate. I look forward to debating the relative strengths/weaknesses of Hunter, Thompson, Huckabee, Brownback, Romney etc. This time consuming effort to sack Rudy is an unfortunate necessity.

It would be interesting to know how many were in the class of '97.

It is rare for me to find a fellow '97 class member. Being as how this is 2007 and a 10-year reunion is in order, we'll have to find a way to dig them up and see who is left.

B) None of this would have prepared anyone for Mr. Robinson’s uniformed and vicious attack on the Bush family and our intelligence agencies.

What kind of uniform did Mr. Robinson wear, pray tell?

“There was something at least similar. From the wayback machine, Jan 1999.”

The guy who wrote that was banned in May 1999. (Pierce.)

He also put up the money for the Washington Times “What Would Washington Do?”

That’s what I have found as well. Not just a moderate, but a champion of several liberal causes at odds with my core political beliefs.

“A) There was no such mission statement up in 1999.”

So what you are trying to tell me is that no one read the mission statement, that, according to the ‘Copyright’ notice was 1996-2000?

And since they didn’t bother to read it, when it’s been there for all to see, they are now shocked about it?

“B) None of this would have prepared anyone for Mr. Robinson’s uniformed and vicious attack on the Bush family and our intelligence agencies.”

On that, you may have to enlighten me because everything I’ve read has been in support of the President(s).

“All of this occurred long before your time.”

I’ve been here long than you think.

Although my sign up date says 2003, I joined in 2001, right after the towers fell.

I have no idea why it now says 2003.

Maybe I got banned and didn’t know it!

“It is essential to realise that, as far as the RNC and Republican Party leadership is concerned, once you have uttered the words “but I’ll support the party’s nominee no matter what”, then nothing else you have to say from that point on matters to them. You will have blinked first and they will have won the game of “electoral chicken”.”

Bears repeating.

I hope so. Otherwise the GOP is dead meat, far as I’m concerned.

Ok. I have to leave.

My wife is sick and I need to do some chores around here.

Let’s just agree to ‘disagree’ and leave it at that.

Obviously my statements aren’t going to change your opinions and yours aren’t going to change mine.

You have a nice night now.

Yes. In May 1999 I and others were banned for defending the Bush family and the CIA from absurd charges by JimRob.

At that time, JimRob vowed he would lead an armed revolution if George W Bush was elected President.

Yes. Then it seems Mr. Robinson compromised in the hope that the GOP would promote the same objectives he started FR to promote, if only the GOP had the Presidency and the House.

Many screen names that questioned if that would be the case were banned, very similar to what is happening now.

Then the GOP could only promote those objectives if they only had control of the Presidency, House and Senate.

Many screen names that questioned if that would be the case were banned, very similar to what is happening now.

The GOP had it, then lost it when Jeffords jumped.

Same scenario after that, if they only had control of the Presidency, House and Senate.

Finally the GOP had it, not much appeared to happen regarding the objectives.

Then the GOP could only promote those objectives if they only had control of the Presidency and super-majorities in the House and Senate.

Many screen names that questioned if that would be the case, even if it were possible were banned, very similar to what is happening now.

And here we are. It appears that Mr. Robinson may have grown tired of waiting and decided not to compromise anymore.

Many screen names that questioned if that was the case were banned...

Fascinating.

I’m not interested in helping you along in a self-immolation. Why don’t you just write your opus now & be done with your freepercide by cop? Don’t look to me to be your springboard. There are others around in a more hostile mood, so I’m sure you’ll be accommodated.

“On that, you may have to enlighten me because everything I’ve read has been in support of the President(s).”

“So, it doesn’t matter if he snorted coke as a youth? It was a long time ago, a youthful indiscretion? Kinda like people who frequented sneakeasies during prohibition? Kind of a cute story, eh? Well, how about all the people whose lives have been destroyed by being arrested for the felony of drug possession? What about the millions of people who are rotting away in your filthy drug infested prisons at this very moment? Well, by God, if you people insist on electing another cokehead as President, you damned well better throw open all the prison cell doors and free every man, woman, and child you’re holding on drug charges. And if you’re gonna elect another drug felon as President, you’d better rescind each and every one of your unconstitutional drug laws now on the books, including all of your unconstitutional search and seizure laws, and your asset forfeiture laws, and your laws that enable your unconstitutional snooping into our bank accounts and cash transactions. Well, I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. You people are sick! Conservatives my ass. You people are nothing but a bunch of non-thinking hypocrits! You’re a shame and a disgrace to the Republic! And, I, for one, am tired of taking orders from cokeheads and felons! Elect another one and I’ll tell you what. I’ll be ready for war! It’ll be time to take up arms and run the filthy lying bastards out!” - Jim Robinson
