Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

"Um, by 'abortionist', to me that word means a person who conducts abortions, a type of doctor."

Those who believe in abortion as a political movement are abortionists. That would include supporters of abortionism or supporters of abortionist candidates. Abortionism and related Godless isms are the antithesis to conservatism, freedom, Liberty.

See also, radical feminism, homosexualism, environmentalism, NARAL, NOW, INTERNATIONAL ANSWER, Planned Parenthood, ACLU, The Gay Agenda, Godless liberalism, socialism, Marxism, communism, tyranny, totalitarianism, and The Culture of Death.

All of the above are allied and connected at the hip with abortionism.

As to your last question, please refer to my statement of purpose posted to FR's home page.

Well, of course, I don’t know for sure, but if he declares sometime in May, like many of us believe, going to the effort of forming an exploratory committee would be a waste of resources. Now, if for some reason he is forced by contracts to wait longer, I would hope that he would form an exploratory committee.

By the way: You claim to love debate, but you chose to ignore Gelato's post in #7307

Dude, I'm *flooded* with posts to respond to. As I said earlier, I apologize in advance if I don't get to answer most of them. For every 1 I post, there are 5 or more new ones!

Besides, I've already said I don't think this is the time or thread for an indepth discussion of abortion. I'm happy to have that one (again), but on another thread, another day.

The topic here is a bit more 'macro' than just abortion, I think.

[I]t is a common observation here that our cause is the cause of all mankind, and that we are fighting for their liberty in defending our own.

Yep, been there, did that. It was a cult classic.

Just doing what I can. Small enough.

Now more than ever the people are responsible for the character of their Congress. If that body be ignorant, reckless, and corrupt, it is because the people tolerate ignorance, recklessness, and corruption. If it be intelligent, brave, and pure, it is because the people demand these high qualities to represent them in the national legislature. . . . [I]f the next centennial does not find us a great nation . . . it will be because those who represent the enterprise, the culture, and the morality of the nation do not aid in controlling the political forces.

[James Garfield, “A Century of Congress” published in Atlantic, July 1877.]

To clarify, if he declares, Law and Order will be forced to run older re-runs which Thompson did not appear in. His producer wants him to run, so I think that will probably work out, as long as the first run episodes are able to show.

Actually, it's at the core. The next step for those who don't fear God is to disregard the value of the lives of those who are made in His image. Liberty in all its various forms goes next.

“Stay home? Not me. I’m going to fight him tooth and nail!”

Please don’t take this wrong, but that wasn’t the question. I agree 100% with fighting to keep Rudy from being the nominee. The question, though, was what if (God forbid) August ‘08 has come around and Rudy’s won the nomination, and the Dims have of course nominated some nightmare also. In this hypothetical, what’s your recommendation?

I don't believe that is correct. You may want to check into that further.
