Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

This is the PRIMARY, we get to vote for who represents our views the best....when the general election starts it will be the same....BUT until THEN I am voting for a true conservative and nothing else. A bona-fide pro-life, pro-gun, pro-LEGAL immmigration, pro-border control, pro-military, pro US kinda guy. I would also like a fiscal conservative, but perhaps that is asking too much?

"Up yours, asswipe," when all they've done is lay out a case for their candidate?

LOL

I am hoping the Fred Thompson runs and is nominated by the GOP. He is the best thing going right now of anyone that could or may be running in 2008.

To another poster...”Well, I’ll certainly VOTE for anyone other than Hillary, including Rudy or Romney. So mangle that as you will.”

I think your position is a reasonable one. I personally cannot do it. But I do know a few hard charging conservatives/Republicans that will vote for Giuliani as a last resort. Many on this site don’t see it that way including the owner. I cannot support him based on moral and issue principles - he is not a moderate.

What I have a problem with (if peope purport to be conservatives) is supporting him in the primary before attempting to get a conservative nominated. What the owner has a problem with is trashing conservatives and icons like Reagaon (on a conservative site) as a tactic to prop up liberal Giuliani.

Oh sure you are. Get up already.

Has Jim responded to you yet, little gnat?

You have no idea.

Oh, please: do tell! Are you very, very special? I bet you're just dying to tell everyone how important you are. LOL.

I've been around a long, long time. I've seen lots of people come and go. Jim's passions may get the better of him sometimes, but he is not an idiot. And sooner or later, he's like to get aggravated by your incessant, impish goading.

Nobody respects an ass-kisser, mkjessup. Especially troublemaking ass-kissers like you.

“Finally - no, I won’t do it - I was going to tell you who I support at this point. But, it is my right to keep this to myself. Have a great day”

Glad to see you have convictions. It is your right, have a great day.

Good thing I’m dealing with something which has largely kept me from FR lately.

This has been an interesting thread, to say the least.

Carry on.

Me, too. You probably have two candidates, who meet all the above criteria, you'll choose between. Would you name them for me? Listing yourself doesn't count. Thanks.

One loses integrity when one acts under false cover or tells falsehoods knowing they are false. PKMom has done none of the above to my knowledge.

Did wolf24 put you up to that? LOL

I wouldn't be flinging around that 'troublemaking' descriptor if I were you, as you seem to delight in mocking JimRob, referring to his comment to quidnuc as he showed him the door, plus your own 'Dear Leader' slur, and nobody cares how long you've been around, and you better got back to Post #1 if you think Jim's 'passions' have gotten the better of him. He's never been more focused as I see it.

And as for respect?

You have already proven that you have no respect for him at all.
