Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

Right. He did it numerous times AND he dressed like that for a month to “practice”. At some level, he must like it.

It is COMPLETELY unstatesmanlike.

I wouldn’t like losing your vote to a liberal, but I completely understand the sentiment.

God bless you and your son.

From the Home page...click "My Account" in upper Right Hand corner...then click "More..." in the same spot.

It'll be at the top.

Perhaps you're just feeling a little angst because he's not from the south. j/k

Personally, I think that Rudy wouldn't have any more trouble presiding over the rural areas of the country than he would the urban areas. He adapted himself very well to the byzantine complexity of NYC politics, and after that Washington will be a snap.

Have you seen the MSM report this? Not wanting to get off-topic or get into other candidates qualities; rather, I wanted to point out the MSM burying both of these yesterday and today. We will not let the MSM Prop Rudy Up Top! Period!

“My authentic conservative message is clearly resonating in South Carolina, which represents the core of the Republican Party,” Huckabee said. “We’re gaining significant momentum in South Carolina. I’m confident it will carry us through the early primaries.”

“Greenville and Spartanburg are the two biggest counties and most politically active in all of South Carolina,” said Mike Campbell, who heads up Huckabee’s efforts in the Palmetto State. “You can’t win South Carolina without winning Greenville and Spartanburg.”

“Greenville and Spartanburg represent the core of South Carolina Reagan-Bush country. It is evident that it’s fast becoming Huckabee country,” he said.

“This is a wonderful – and significant – political development for Mike Huckabee that affirms my strong belief in his values and leadership qualities. I’m very pleased, but not surprised, with these results,” said Mrs. Iris Campbell, honorary chairwoman of Huckabee’s South Carolina presidential campaign.

The former Arkansas governor left South Carolina for Washington D.C. and New York to attend the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Among his scheduled events, Huckabee will be a guest on national news programs today and Monday.”

Knowing what I know of the guy, I'm pretty sure he just has a good sense of humor.

It is COMPLETELY unstatesmanlike.

So is nearly choking to death on a pretzel, or barfing on the Japanese Prime Minister, or getting drunk (while holding a loaded weapon) and shooting your hunting partner in the face.

LOL ... I was all set to accept that as constructive criticism and gnaw on whether or not there might be a kernel of truth to it, then I saw you were just joking.

I think that Rudy wouldn't have any more trouble presiding over the rural areas of the country than he would the urban areas

Maybe not. But I'm not looking for someone to preside over me ... I'm looking for someone to represent me. I doubt Giuliani will do that.

I left off the most important part...

Spartanburg County, SC – Former Arkansas Governor Mike

Huckabee beat out Republican competition Saturday by more than 400 points at the Spartanburg County convention, reflecting growing momentum for his possible 2008 White House bid in South Carolina. Huckabee pulled in 3522 points, followed by Rudy Guiliani with 3161.

Huckabee also came in second place in a straw poll in Greenville County with 111 votes. Mitt Romney placed first with 132.

Oh ... You're in Alabama. Hell, son, you're where I'm from. No wonder you liked it.

Heh ... I didn't notice the Alabama connection. That was good stuff, though.

Sometimes I think John Edwards is right about the "two Americas" ... just not in the way he thinks. Giuliani's NYC culture is about as far removed from yours and mine as some foreign cultures are ... or at least it seems that way sometimes.

You are comparing those things to deliberately marching in a parade with perverts?

Get over it, some people have a sense of humor.

Those are not things that are characteristic of someone who should be running the country. The ramifications are extensive. Nothing about being President or considering it should be taken lightly. There are appropriate and inappropriate behaviors...THAT was NOT appropriate for anyone seeking the status of President. Having a sense of humor has nothing to do with the issue at hand. Nice attempt at deflecting responsibility for Rudy, though it misses the real mark.

You forgot to mention that where you come from, the populace is so certifiably insane that about one hundred thousand of them showed up in Tuscaloosa last Saturday for a dadgum spring football scrimmage.

I was one of them. :-)

God bless you and your son.

Thanks, he got out in January, he's going back in June 1st. In his view, the hardest thing to deal with is the corrupt nature of the press (the insatiable desire for "scandalous doin's" to report).

I really don't want to vote for a liberal and won't support Rudy in the primary, but if it came down to it and he won the nomination, I'd pull the lever for him in the general, tears in my eyes, grumblings on my lips..
