Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

Even I had forgotten until some of the old articles were reposted here and brought it all back.

I still give him a lot of credit for a lot of good things he did, but President??? Not on your life.

I’ve seen more trash here in the last few days, than NYC ever had. You cannot compare NYC to any other city - try as you may for ‘the cause’.

I don't hide behind nobody.

I'm a woman you jerk.

Why do you say JR wears a skirt, what's wrong with you? Have you lost your mind?

People forget, or are too young to really remember how unhappy he made people...and how authoritarian he behaved. I knew that from the news stories, and I didn’t even live there.

You didn't live there? You got it from the liberal news stories. LOL!

Rudy kicked ass when he was mayor. I saw it first hand.

(Too bad he's an abortionist and an anti 2A guy.)

“Because we, and our mission, are in their way.”

Yep, and they know they need our votes, so they try to subvert and convert, and when that doesn’t work they disrupt.

“Republicans” are not eating our own. We’re pretty solidly behind Guiliani at this point.

I dare say, "speak for yourself". I have yet to meet anyone, other some here on FR, who are "solidly behind Giuliani". BTW, if you're going to support Giuliani, you might want to learn how to spell his name before you make up any posters or bumperstickers. LOL ;)

I’m sure the FBI will really appreciate a silly call, when they are busy doing their important work. Oh well, they must get plenty of crank calls every day :)

Should be okay, as long as she isn't in tight with Patrick Fitzgerald and none of you have talked to Scooter Libbey...

I have poured a martini and am watching this complete meltdown. FR is so far from the brilliant site it was in 1999 when I joined. There used to be dissent, argument, logical & thoughtful debate. I learned a lot in those early years. As the site grew in members, it declined in quality.

The last year has been particularly rancid. I rarely post anymore and find most threads full of whiners & morons. FR is not much fun anymore.

You mean like the "civil" discourse on this thread? If the name-calling, personal attack posts on this thread (from all sides) constitute "civil" discourse, I'd hate to see discourse that isn't civil.

This is alot more civil then when certain freepers are here.

Wonder how folks will like them at the new site:)
