We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?
Jim, Miss Marple is a member of the same WA forum as M. Thatcher is. These people are only here to stir up trouble. cicero’s_son is another one who just signed-up. Keep an eye on him because he is one nasty liberal.
Please ignore typos (and 7 years is 6 years).
Calling people princess sure takes a lot of guts behind a keyboard.
I’m gona take a few minutes a read this thread since I left 2 hours ago. This thing is going so fast, I can’t believe it.
If a man can't quote the founder of the site, what can he do?
Yes, you should! LOL!! I could be dangerous you know!
Whoever’s No. 6,000 ought to receive a prize or something. :)
To many rocks thrown, I agree.
At this point and time, I am concerned about keeping a Dem out of the Whitehouse.
That's certainly more than a $450.00 haircut!!!
I saw a great “big tent” quote the other day. New people are welcome into the big tent, but they don’t get to tamper with the tent poles.
Liberty is a word which, according as it is used, comprehends the most good and the most evil of any in the world. Justly understood it is sacred next to those which we appropriate in divine adoration; but in the mouths of some it means anything, which enervate a necessary government; excite a jealousy of the rulers who are our own choice, and keep society in confusion for want of a power sufficiently concentered to promote good.
Oliver Ellsworth, The Landholder, No. III, November 19, 1787
It is necessary for every American, with becoming energy to endeavor to stop the dissemination of principles evidently destructive of the cause for which they have bled. It must be the combined virtue of the rulers and of the people to do this, and to rescue and save their civil and religious rights from the outstretched arm of tyranny, which may appear under any mode or form of government.
Mercy Warren, History of the Rise, Progress, and Termination of the American Revolution, 1805
but then youll be behind when you get back to here!! im going to hold your cord for ransom!! a gazillion bucks!! pay up or the cord gets it!
You're not embarrassed by Jim's behavior, are you? I mean, that couldn't be why you're so interested in my tagline...
Amen, Shyla, Amen.
WHY does it say “paper jam” when there is no paper jam?!
and one other:
“They that would give up essential liberty for a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.” Ben Franklin.
It seems to me the circus is too big for the tent, at the moment.
