Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

Hildy, what do the Torah and Ten Commandments mean to you? Are they not the Law?

Unless you want to argue that Mia would post a meaningless argument for no purpose whatsoever, I don't see how you could possibly believe what you are saying now about her argument.

If you wish I can have Mia respond herself, live from casa del jla, after I've picked her up at the hotel.
Mia's finally going to see Monticello this week. I'm more than sure that Mr. J would have had no problem with her.

You forgot serial adulterer. Character matters.

Not anymore, according to the Rudy apologists.

“Tancredo beat Rudy...man, that’s gotta smart! LOL”

Oh yeah, his support will fade fast once the debates get going and primaries get closer. He can’t hide his positions forever...and he isnt going to get the grassroots to get out there on the doors for him. I’m on the record for a Gary Hart type meltdown.

I accept him at his word as to the kind of judges he would appoint..

Which word? His most recent campaign declaration about "strict constructionist judges," despite his own questionable record of supporting the constitution? Or the words from 2005, before he adopted his campaign-speak, where he says presidents appoint judges that "they believe agree with them" or "somebody who shares kind of your general outlook" and, further, that he would appoint "very intelligent, very honest, very good lawyer" and that "Justice Ginsburg fit that category." Ginsburg! Why not look at his actual record of appointing judges during his 8 year mayoral term? That certainly is more believable than his weak pronouncements of late. JMHO.

Not to worry. Rudy and his apologists promise us that he will appoint personnel and implement policies....

TO PROTECT US FROM LIBERAL POLITICIANS LIKE HIMSELF!

Let’s see here. We have Rudy cross-dressing in public for the photogs (multiple times - seems to be a favorite pastime), living with gay roommates, kissing gay roommates, marching in gay parades, supporting gay marriage/gay unions, participating in NARAL functions, declaring abortion as a constitutional right, declaring that abortion as a right should be taxpayer funded, supporting leftist policies and causes,

grabbing guns, trampling on the constitution and individual rights, supporting sanctuary cities for illegals, disregarding the rule of law and abusing his government power and the public trust,

supporting welfare and entitlements for illegals, confiscating private property, raising taxes, pushing corporate welfare, big public spending on personal pet projects, appointing liberals to judgeships and commissions, appointing and supporting corrupt cronies, etc, etc, etc. Pretty soon a reasonable thinking person might be led to believe there’s a pattern developing here.

Oh, yeah. Well, duh. He’s a lefty. A far left liberal God-disrespecting, indecent, low life, low class, no character, scumbag lefty. Completely and utterly unfit to sit in Reagan’s office. Ever! There. Put some lipstick on that pig!

Wow thats even more than I knew. Whoever put that all together I agree, no amount of lipstick will make that pig look good to me.

“People here are not only against gay rights, they just plain don’t like gay people. Am I wrong?”

Until this thread, posters like you baffled me, I didn’t understand why so many of you were perpetually angry, and why you would make so many fundamental challenges that I didn’t think needed to be asked and responded to so frequently, on a forum where we all are already conservatives.

I would look to see if you were new, but instead many of you had been around a long time.

Now I find out that people like you aren’t so conservative, so naturally you were often in a fighting, argumentative mood while being on the forum. I knew the name Jim Robinson, and I knew he owned the forum, but I really didn’t know anything about him. Because of this thread I think I understand FR for the first time, and as a social conservative I’m glad to know that it is at the heart of the purpose of FR.

Now I see that a lot of the people that seemed so disruptive, hostile and time wasting were not really the core of this forum after all, judging by all of the banned accounts of the last couple of days.

Just because it’s legal does not make it right. See Dred-Scott.

She meant to harm Fred Thompson by asserting that he was trying to get McCain elected, thereby suggesting he was a fraud and a liar, and hoping to scare people who weren't scared enough of Hillary to vote for Rudy because they were afraid of John McCain.

The theory as been posted by a few others on the forum. I have seen it 3 or 4 times. IMO, the theory doesn't make sense -- it's lame.

But do you CWCT really think that Mia wasn't being sincere and wasn't honestly afraid that the theory might be true?

I have been observing the Republican party since I was eligible to vote (I am slightly over 18 and have been for many years)

Ping me when you finally turn 19.

Your display of relishing in the demise (or potential demise) of FReepers, whether that loss be warranted, questionable or self-inflicted is growing very tiresome.
