We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?
I was hoping we could get our ducks lined up on how to face the challenge of uniting against Rudy, before we started on the 800 lb gorilla of our personal favorites (because that is going to get nasty).
I like your passion for life.
Nobody's howlin' and doggin' folks around here more than you these days. Why do you need to be the bully? Does pounding taunts and attacks out on your keyboard make you feel more conservative than the rest of us?
How did Michelle Malkin put it? Oh, yes:
Prompted by a reporter's question, Keyes gave a brief tutorial on Roman history and said that in regard to reparations for slavery, the U.S. should do what the Romans did: "When a city had been devastated [in the Roman empire], for a certain length of time--a generation or two--they exempted the damaged city from taxation."
Keyes proposed that for a generation or two, African-Americans of slave heritage should be exempted from federal taxes--federal because slavery "was an egregious failure on the part of the federal establishment." In calling for the tax relief, Keyes appeared to be reaching out to capture the black vote, something that may prove difficult to do, particularly after his unwelcome reception at the Bud Billiken Day Parade Saturday.
The former ambassador said his plan would give African-Americans "a competitive edge in the labor market," because those exempted would be cheaper to hire than federal tax-paying employees and would "compensate for all those years when your labor was being exploited..."
Well said Mr. Lincoln.
I love this place, but I come here to learn more about and discuss the application of conservative principles to the issues, not to argue with liberals who disagree with those principles.
***Me too. Thanks for putting it so eloquently.
“You obviously didnt read the interview I posted earlier, either. If you did, you would see that his position did not change.”
Come on, I’ve read every single post on this thing. I read yours and read CWO’s, and gave my opinion. I saw his position change from what I read. Not a big deal, every politician stumbles on that. Once exposed, I’ve always found it easier to just ceed the point and move to the next issue. From a simple debate perspective I thought CWO won the debate with you. But again, that’s just my opinion. I haven’t, nor am I going to get into promoting or pounding on the rest of the republican primary candidates. At least not on this thread.
Once again, you have earned my respect, Lando Lincoln. God bless you. :)
Ping. Sorry I left you out on the original.
No problem and thanks for the courtesy.
Here, see for yourself. These are straight Q&A items, nothing out of context.

And that's what really unites them regardless of whatever else they say they have in common.
That’s just a copout. Get over yourself.
“Make no mistake, the power and the impact of Free Republic is diminished with every single “woo-hoo”.
You do a variation of this every night. You request that this site monolithic quit allowing these libs to commit suicide.
Judging from the length of your writing, I truely believe you are sincere. However, you’re wrong. Now what I want you to do, sincerely, is to go put the same effort into a letter that appeals to the sense of conservatives that they review and reconsider supporting a candidate that can do no good for the conservative movement, the GOP, nor the country... and address to this thread on Sunday and all of the antiFR sites out there, WA,Darwin etc and send it to
Not that it matters, because you would never support Alan Keyes in a million years in any case, but if you’re so obsessed with Alan Keyes and reparations, here is a link to all of the Keyes interviews that are available. Have fun, and here’s to hoping that you learn something:
http://www.keyesarchives.com/media.htm
My choice for President in 2008 - Click on my screen name Keyes is a crook who supports slave reparations. And you want him for president? What's next for your profile page, a shrine to Al Sharpton? |
“pasted all of your little one line rants today, in sum they dont add up to more than a few chuckles at your transparency...so do try to avoid the light wolfie”
That’s not even addressed to you...Now listen Howlin’s friend, I told you to hold me, because I know you’re here for me...and I mean it.
The only thing he has in common with Al Sharpton is that he is black.
You're very right there...you don't.
