We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?
I agree.
Not sure. I check in about every 1000 posts; think I've read only about half the thread, but it's been a doozy!
By the way, I think FR should start a fund to buy Sheryl Crow a one way ticket to Iran.
That’s why we’re conservatives...we want to conserve those things that are right and true and good...and we know that garbage passing off as “good” in the pop culture doesn’t, as a rule, hold a candle to it.
Woo whoo! The crowing achievement of my freeperdom!
Bravo! Very inspirational! Take a bow.
:-)
LOL...but hard to do! 5 strokes of singularity!
“Here’s an idea. Let’s drive into the middle of the race and then beat our chests and ckaim victory while loudly shouting that those who left the starting gate are disqualified.”
Ok, I’ll expound upon it then. You see, there is no race. There is no competition. People are wanting to create competition where none should exist. You seem to insinuate that I’ve claimed victory. By starting at post 1, you’ll find my only statements of victory are surrounded by the terms the Rudy drops from the primaries.
I would presume you also refer to mine or other’s sign up dates being quite short of many here. I like to be part of a team, and when I think of tenure being something worth having, teacher unions are about the first thing that come to mind. I won’t go there.
I’ve watched the vast, and I mean vast majority of people who have left, to have done so either by request or by simply knowing where the line was drawn and them stomping on the line in spite. I want to help the conservative cause and movement and I stand firm on my actions thus far with this thread.
He’s OK...a friend of mine.
I sure like him. :-)
Good points.
Shades of 1950's "Better Red than Dead" lives on.
I wholeheartedly agree. Fatima is so delightful that I can easily see where she has been immune from the attacks of many of the liberals here. And she is also right about the fact that we shouldn’t take any special joy about any single person being banned.
However, it is still natural for us to feel a sense of relief that a group of people (many of whom have been openly supportive of abortion and euthanasia) are gone. I remember what was going on during the days of Terri Schiavo’s court-ordered murder, and many of these supposed conservatives showed nothing but cruelty toward those who were fighting to save her. After witnessing this, it became impossible for me to overlook the attitudes of certain FReepers.
I believe in the sanctity of all innocent life and my conscience will not permit me to pretend that beliefs that are totally contrary to that are acceptable. However, if my rhetoric is upsetting to people like fatima who believe the same things that I do, then I apologize from the bottom of my heart.
Excellent!
Conservatism is in bloom, and that’s awsome!
I assume you’re just speaking out in the open, and not attributing the quote about “stifle” to me.
MiaT had a mini-messianic complex, and her ALL CAPS SPAM POSTS with 47,000 links unrelated to any specific topic were just plain annoying.
She pretty much told people where they could get off if they didn’t appreciate her screeds.
Ironically, not long ago, I asked her to please put her name in the title page of her posts say they could be more easily avoided, and she took quite an attitude, as if JimRob would back her up on anything.
Good riddance, period!
I'd say a lot of them are standing in the center lane of the interstate doing just that. It's going to get interesting when 18 wheels of truth comes flying down that lane.
Thank you for the reply.
