We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?
*barf*
BTTT.
Agreed. If any pro-rudy boosters continue to spew his 'conservatism', they'll be spotted.
Time for it to end.
Someone showed me the list of screennames over at the new antifreeper site. I have to say that there were only a couple who disappointed me, yours being foremost.
If it continues into next year, its going be very destructive.
***I doubt it will continue into next month. The smoke is already starting to clear.
So do I.
Here's the problem. You and I and many others approached Bush from the right. He wasn't as conservative as we would have wanted, but he at least offered a fair amount to conservatives.
IMO the recently departed Rudy boosters generally approached Bush from the left. They were more in line with the Rockefeller wing of the party, and many attacked conservatives questioning the more liberal actions of the Bush Admin.
So when Rudy came along, it wasn't very far for them to move left and embrace him. However, it was a long, long ways for conservatives to go - too far. And their response was to engage in some old-school socon bashing and downright hypocrisy as they attacked Fred once he became viable.
IMO this was going to happen sooner or later. Plus, as you've noted in the past, waiting until next year would be too late. The front-loaded primary schedule has moved the battles to this year.
This dust-up was pretty similar to the Lucianne battle in 1999. FR got itself reassembled by 2000. The same will happen again. Especially if Fred gets in and gives the center and the right something to rally around.
Whew! Caught up with reading the posts since last night one more time.
I was thinking the same thing Kevmo. I don't think he was ON this thread. But he is definitely not a Lib.
Frankly, if I make you puke, EV, it’s been a good day. Your antics have been particularly shameful.
I’m selfish. I don’t want to be tempted to fill his shoes. Plus, I just think he did a good job and if he’d held his [keyboard] for a few days, he would have seen his frustrations addressed.
Do you know what anonymity means?
BTTT! Me too.
Written like a true brownshirt.
You still haven't dealt with your own hypocrisy in my original post. When are YOU going to pony up some cash to help this website, or is it only the lesser Freeper's responsiblity to do that?
TS

***They may have damaged Duncan Hunter’s chances as well. Because we were hit with a double punch of “he’s not electable” and the socon bashing, which probably caused a lot of groundhogs to go back for better weather. I’m here to say “Winter’s Over!”, Come on out and support the best socon candidate whose views are closest to yours!
Right. But you think the people who have been stalking me, lying about me, and trashing conservatives and conservatism for years here are "giants." Remind me a again why I should care what you think?
I’ve donated annonymously, and I’d like it to stay annonymous. (lol) My name is not listed.
Hear! Hear!
Go Duncan Hunter!
...agreement that it is settling down, but ultimately it is up to individuals how far they want to push the owner.
“we are losing some giants at FR that have been at our side for many years.”
They chose to leave your/our sides with their methods.
“We brand them as liberals today,...”
They brand themselves with their liberal allegiances and attacks on conservative candidates.
