hemNutra, the Las Vegas importer of the contaminated wheat gluten that led to the original 100-plus packaged pet food recallÑalso imports pet sickening rice protein concentrate from China, "though from another source". "The company has been testing those shipments," according to spokesman Steve Stern. (Andrew Bridges, AP, April 18, 2007).

In other words, ChemNutra, whose Chinese headquarters are within 50 miles of wheat gluten-producing Xuhou Anying Biologic Technology Development Co. Ltd., is up to its bag brim in the rice gluten poison pet food scandal.

Binzhou Futian Biology Technology Co. Ltd. is suspected as the company making the rice protein.

In the poisonous path leading to dead or sickened animals, first came North America, then Puerto Rico. Now 30 pets are dead from contaminated pet food in South Africa.

Whoever the lame brain was that ordered this stuff should be shot. First red flag regarding China is they don’t like cats or dogs.

I would be surprised if the melamine and other toxins did NOT get into the human food cycle...
so a better question would be: how long would the CDC and FDA cover this up?

Depends on how many people died and if it could be proven.

On worldnet daily I think they are reporting that contaminated feed was given to hogs in California. I’ll try and find it. But it looks like it already has.

It was in the san diego paper today about the pig feed getting some of this, from China, but it said the urine tests of the hogs were okay? It is already here in our food chain I would guess.

Yea, there are two stories on the front page today. The first is from the Washington Post: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/04/20/AR2007042002016.html?hpid=moreheadlines
Sorry, cut and paste from the address bar.

Well we do know that Chinese poisons have gone into foods and medicines for poor countries. 80+ dead children in Haiti should have been all the warning the world needed.

I shudder to think how many Iraqi children died of chinese food under the oil for food program.

Sure. I have been tracking how our food supply logistics have been vulnerable for years. Even started a company that could change all that but started it up just before 9/11.
When the economy tanked I had to put the idea off for a while.

Why are we importing anything related to wheat from China when we currently export it(wheat)?

Just once I’d like to see the food companies in this country treat human/animal health more than their craven bottom line, buy only from the abundance this country can supply easily for itself. WITHOUT buying from the moral-less ChiComs and others who have no problem poisoning us as long as they get their piles of cash.

Sickening. I’m reminded of what Ripley said in _Aliens_: “I don’t know which species is worse. You don’t see them f*****g each other over for a g*dd*mn percentage.”

China is horribly cruel to dogs and cats. It breaks my heart. They are also vicious to their own people. They are barbarians!

From what I have been reading,it already has.If anyone expects the Govt.to act responsibly in their investigation, can that thought.Previous posts have verified that.
