Shock rocker Marilyn Manson fears his music will be held responsible for the Virginia Tech massacre on Monday, just like it was after the Columbine shootings in April 1999. The Antichrist Superstar hitmaker worries his music is going to come into question again as people look for someone to blame for the drama that unfolded on campus at the university on Monday, leaving 33 people dead.
In a BBC radio interview last night, Manson said, "I was watching it in the same way that I can remember watching the TV when Columbine happened, and just seeing it take place as any other person would.
"Then suddenly Columbine happened and my name got brought into it and I wouldn't be surprised if my name got brought into this."
Back in 1999, family groups claimed Manson's dark and brooding music encouraged student fans to launch a killing spree at Columbine High School in Colorado.
On Monday - almost eight years to the day of Columbine - English major Cho Seung-hui killed 32 people in a shooting attack and then turned the gun on himself in what was the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history.
Manson, it ain’t about you. Jerk.

I wouldn’t worry about it too much if I were him. Actually I suspect he’s looking for a whiff of fame again since he’s become a bit of a has been.
I’m happy for him though, his self marketing ploy is obviously working.

Him and his kind of rock dropped off the radar. For now it’s all cRap, but it looks like its going to wane (don’t take my word for it).
The next wave seems to be emo.
But, if the shoe fits...
I'm pretty sure I saw a blurb about an ex-wife of his getting publicity saying [or doing] stupid things last week.
He's a has-been looking for publicity with this crime...he's clearly very sick mentally (as if that was in doubt previously).
There was a great article in the Onion a few years ago “Marilyn Manson Resorts To Going Door to Door to Shock People” I’ll try and bring it up it’s funny.
Since no one has brought his name into this one...he had to himself.
The last photo I saw of Manson gave me the Creeps.
