The only line Imus crossed was apologising every minute for the last several days of his TV/Radio career and kneeling at Sharpton’s feet. At that point I knew Imus had to go.

"Whitey"?
Should I be offended by that racial slur? Maybe I will have a white version of Al Sharpton to tell me when I should or should not be offended, until then I will continue to ignore such comments.

Generally speaking Whiteys too dumb to know where the line is. This misses the point. In my experience, people wait for Whitey to take a step, then they draw the line behind Whitey and act shocked, "You crossed the line!"
By the rules of the game, knowledge of where the line is, or will be, is withheld from Whitey.

All the groveling Imus did was fruitless as far as preventing the MSM enema he was given. If it were Rush or Savage they would simply have lashed back, especially at Sharpton. But Imus depends on MSM advertisers and that means he has to play by liberal, politically-correct rules. Now he is the one who is a hoe, and as far as I am concerned, he’s always been nappy-headed, in more ways than one.

Nappy-head, it turns out (excuse my whiteyness), means a black person who has allowed their hair to grow naturally into a tightly curled afro. Its a term that can be used self-referentially with pride or disparagingly about others. Being a racial thing, its power is in the mouth of the speaker. Or is it in the ear of the listener? Its complicated, so, in the interests of a quiet life, dont use it unless you are very confident or, in fact, a nappy-head. Fire him!

Screw the crass Imus. He is a fool who Liberal sissy boys have sucked up to for years. If I want ghetto vulgarisms, I will get them from the experts who will be voting for Obama (by the way), not from this frail poser who is such a feeble geezer despite the fact he is admired by the other flabby old white boys that constitute anile Liberalism, an academic schoolmarmism that is bereft of any personal experience or common sense.

These white radio boys were sniggering about that. If he'd said "snigger", he'd be in even bigger trouble.

Hes (Imus is) quite amusing and articulate in a resolutely uncomplicated way and had a huge listenership generating vast advertising revenue.Debatable... right down the line, debatable.

Sharpton’s about as much a Pentecostal minister as I’m one of the Flying Wallendas !!!

Blah blah blah blah....... all this blahing can’t explain away shameful, disgusting and racing comments that Imus made.
What’s wrong with those girls? Are they not best of what society has to offer? In their most glorious moment, Imus hurled sickening insults. He didn’t know that people may get offended because he doesn’t have a ‘racism’ detector in his head (or it momentarily stopped working).

Is it just me or does anybody remember a few years back when Hillary was trying to justify her stance on the right to choose and she used a scenario of a white woman being raped by a black man... anybody remember that? I was looking for a video of this or audio on YouTube but could not find it and I would LOVE to post it on YouTube if there does exist audio or even better a video of this.
Anybody remember this?

OK - soooooo....
Sharpton and Jackson, since they claim to be SOOO offended by Imus’ terminology, must spend countless hours protesting in front of concert venues, music stores, and in front of the record industry headquarters because those use the same words - and MUCH WORSE... all with the specific intent of being offensive...
Oh - wait - that is Different....Just have to love double standards!

Keep pushing us, my swarthy cousins. Our generosity and politeness can easily go away, and what will come will make the Tulsa and East St. Louis riots look like target practice. ;-)
Of course, I reallu dom't blame the black folks here. I blame the neutered white guys who run the media, particularly those of the baby boom generation. The only thing that earns RESPECT and OBEDIANCE is B-A-L-L-S, not "apologies."

Come to think of it, I never use the word "guy" either. Never. And I'm as American as anyone can get. I find myself saying "man" or "boy"--never "guy".
