What are Women about?
http://www.self.whatisthat ^ | 04-10-2007 | J.Wright

Posted on 04/10/2007 12:24:46 AM PDT by RunningWolf

Around 1980 my Dad showed me a book someone gave him as a crank gift, its title was 'Everything I know about Women' and every page was blank.

I had to laugh because it was so true for me also. I know nothing about 'them' although a few have come into the sphere of my life here and there during my journey into the unknown.

My POV is from the place of a 52 never married bach.

The torment I suffered at the hands of Women is way to intiimate for this forum, but for some reason I still love them (as I kneel down at my mothers grave when she died so young at 42 from cancer)

What are Women about?

About $200/hour, $1500 for the night.

That is, if you have to pay for it.

The thing is, there should be some truth-in-advertising. I’ve heard all the “We want sensitive men”... “We want men who’ll listen to us”... Yada Yada Oprah crap until it’s comin outa my ears.

I know the most darling 18 year old. So darling that if I were 18 I would definitely be in his fan club. Some of the guys say he needs to work on his masculinity because he likes to sew and cook. (or maybe it was because of that time he let me put makeup on his and put him in a dress. yes, folks, there was a reason. lol.) There is something about him that girls just flock to. No matter where he goes he has about five girls fluttering around him. He is a true gentleman. Yet, I have had to hear him telling me for the last half year that he can't get a girlfriend. Interestingly enough, when he does get one they are usually the psycho type that wants to dominate all of his time.

and I am trying to "destroy" her.

I love that line. My mom used to say that all the time about people she knew. "This person is trying to destroy this person." "That person wants to destroy me." I really don't know how someone can really destroy another unless they kill them.

God, I am laughing so hard about this post. I know exactly what his problem is. Unfortunately, you will probably not like it. Please allow Me to give you one small clue: women have no respect for a male they can walk all over any time they want to. Yes, he sounds like a ‘nice guy’, but whisper this in his ear; as a (female) associate once said to Me, women do not go after the nice guys BECAUSE THERE IS NO CHALLENGE THERE -and lack of challenge = BORING.

Like the four major appliances stored in our living room.

I'll call those four major appliances in the living room and raise you the old toilet someone "forgot" he parked on the front porch in all its glory during the bathroom renovation.

What woman wouldn't want rosy-fingered dawn illuminating this diorama for the ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD to enjoy?

Just saying...

Our bathroom is next. I already told him we could put the old toilet in the back yard and plant geraniums in it.

He thought I was serious.

That's the most poignant and touching post I've ever seen here.

Big deal, the old toilet was on the front porch overnight.

At least I didn't plop myself down on it and start chugging a thirty pack of Bud while maligning the neighbors.

And I'm tired of you claiming credit for all the hard work I did! You most certainly did not sand all the new sheetrock.

By the way, if you look in the back hall, you'll see that I bought you a new bucket of mud, baby!

All I see is that 20 year old girl that didn’t seem the least bit interested in me when we first met.

Same thing... forty years here.

Well, I’m a romantic and see life through the eyes of one. I get some of that from my grandfather, my mom.... and I am completed by my Bride.

It’s great isn’t it? I would like so many others to enjoy the same experience, but all we can really do is let them see the example, and hope they can find a way to enjoy the same love in their world.

When I pass on, I will only regret that I didn’t get one more day with my Bride. However, I am comforted in knowing that she will have many good memories to think about..... until we’re together again.

Well, my bride will most certainly end up in Heaven, but I'm pretty sure she won't be meeting me there.
