Around 1980 my Dad showed me a book someone gave him as a crank gift, its title was 'Everything I know about Women' and every page was blank.
I had to laugh because it was so true for me also. I know nothing about 'them' although a few have come into the sphere of my life here and there during my journey into the unknown.
My POV is from the place of a 52 never married bach.
The torment I suffered at the hands of Women is way to intiimate for this forum, but for some reason I still love them (as I kneel down at my mothers grave when she died so young at 42 from cancer)
While that is very cynical, it aptly describes my second marriage. The second Mr. Graymatter, RIP, was a most expensive husband; briefly.
Cynicism is very valuable because nothing else works so well to alert the least cynical among us of their dangerous state of naivete.
Preach it brother PD!
How lovely for you! And thank you for the message of not taking us wives for granted. Too bad hubby couldn’t read your message.
However, I will understand if your experiences have placed you in a position where you are unwilling to contemplate the reasonings behind the female mindset. Lord knows, I have been there Myself not too long ago.
Just keep Me in mind, mate. I am fairly certain that when I explain certain female mindsets (*winces, expecting a barrage from the female FReepers*) you will find a smile in there somewhere.
This is why I wanted to take this to the FReepmail section; I get flamed enough as it is.
But it is not all bad. I guarantee it mate. *smile*
Sorry to differ with you sir but the opinions of others most certainly do matter, unless one thinks oneself wiser than all others.
And I tell you true, women see a never-married man past 30, never mind 50, the first thing they want to know is why he was passed over by everyone for 10 years, never mind 30.
What did they all figure out, that isn’t stamped on his scalp? Where’s he been all this time? Prison? Gay bars? Mental hospital? In the basement of his parents’ house, playing with his collection of toy tractors?
Like it or not, this is what goes through what a woman is pleased to call her mind, at the encounter with a confirmed bachelor.
In our culture, the prevailing opinion is that normal people do well to marry. When they don’t, it’s reasonable to wonder if maybe they’re NOT normal.
>Women do not act from the ‘logical’ part of the brain.< ...... when there is a man around who will make the critical decisions. They don’t have to, so they leave it up to us.
I love having an ‘emotional’ wife who sees and feels all the tiny things that I miss. That’s why I am so happy. She can do what I can’t.
You’re stuck in The Matrix, my friend. Playing their game, instead of your own.
Yes, women are different today. And dating seems more like an ordeal than simply getting to know a person. I do find it interesting that many guys perceive a confident, attractive (and flirty) lady as a slut. Being those things is not an automatic tramp stamp. Just because I know what I want doesn't mean I want YOU! And for those who are (slutty)... you're ruining it for the rest of us!!! LOL.
Whatever you say, sir.
LOL
Since you brought up Jack, here's his line from the "Witches of Eastwick", I always got a kick out of.
"Do you think God knew what He was doing when He created woman?
Huh?
No $# it. I really wanna know. Or do you think it was another one of His minor mistakes like tidal waves, earthquakes, FLOODS?
You think women are like that?
S'matter? You don't think God makes mistakes? Of course He does. We ALL make mistakes. Of course, when WE make mistakes they call it evil. When GOD makes mistakes, they call it... nature.
So whaddya think? Women... a mistake... or DID HE DO IT TO US ON PURPOSE? "
It is no secret here, that I believe women are simply crazy, but that society made them that way, due to how they are forced to compete with each other, and the lies told by the feminists in the 60's that they were forced to go along with or be ostracized by the herd.
I cant imagine a worse place to be than a woman 35-45, just now finding out how many lies their lives were based on. Just waking up to find out that they CANT have it all, and that the men they want would rather date their daughters. The smart ones found a decent man 10 years ago, and hung on to him like grim death. The unlucky ones are now with no man, but saddled with kids from men long gone or in jail.
Nobody wants these women but losers. And women know it, but are forced to compromise for the sake of companionship. People call me a cynic, but I'm not. I've just seen it all, and its a sad picture. Its not their fault, women are desperate these days. If they don't have a good man, their lives are essentially without meaning. Would not want to be them, much less date them.
The more I am around women, the less strange they seem.
The whole making babies thing is just a phase for women and don’t think men are any less driven by biological needs.
Women are wired diferently than men, they have many more connections in their brains. It lets them verbalize their emotions and does increase their distraction from emotional cues. It makes them seem a little strange from our perspective but we appear a little obtuse from thier perspective.
I’ve been married for 14 years and the experience has led me to appreciate and respect all women more over time.
BTW, if I put another baby in my wife, she will probably scalp me.
Bratty waitresses not withstanding, lol! *grin
The man is the head of the house, women are the neck. She can turn the head when she wants to.

I am 50, never married. Where I have been, is clear to any woman I encounter, as I was busy building multiple careers.
What you say is confined to the ugly men, the fat men, and the losers, for whom no explanation is necessary.
Every woman I meet assumes that she is going to be the one special person who will change me into relationship material.
It generally takes them about a month to determine that I like my life just the way it is, and they move on in search of easier prey.
Whatever you say big boy.
Deal with it.
Cheers!
Football? When did the conversation shift to football?
