Of course, there is your "support the troops at Walter Reed / anti Code Pink weekly vigil" - - but I don't think that C-Span is interested in true dedication to our servicemen.
Not contraversial enough?

I did tell them about that. They have covered street corner demonsrations before, but it's been a while.

In Tucson we have a Support The Troops rally twice a month in front of Davis-Monthan Air Force base. (No moonbats.) Sometimes we have up to 100 people, sometimes only about 15-20. The only news team that has covered it is
Japanese Public TV once.
You don't need moonbats to encourage the troops. Listen, Americans and FReepers, if you've got a base in your town, get together with a few people, grab some flags and head out there on a Saturday morning. Since there's no moonbats you can get any number of community organizations involved. Make your signs with large letters and easily readable from a distance so they don't think you're anti-Americans.

Congratulations on prodding C-SPAN! Thank you and congratulations to all you freepers who called, wrote, emailed CSPAN about not covering GOE! When is the Ft. Benning event usually scheduled? (The one that Eve Tidwell has that HUGE flag made by the children?) Think that might qualify for CSPAN?

Looks like C-spam put their money on the wrong horse. Actually on the wrong end of a horse which is what the answer group is. And maybe they are tired of covering yesterday's news.
Thanks for staying in there, kristinn. This is great news for the Gathering of Eagles--they made quite an impression. And this is only the beginning...

They could have taped the Gathering of Eagles and broadcast it later that day. I lost a lot of respect for C-SPAN that weekend. Even though I called them early, right after hearing that they would not be covering the GoE, it was obvious that the receptionist had either been receiving lots of complaint calls already, or else she herself was puzzled at why they weren't covering it.
I wish I could make it to Rolling Thunder, but if I'm lucky, my brother will be back from Iraq that weekend and we have our own small (family) rally planned! :-)

My wife and I put our bodies and feet into March 17, and now our money will also go where our mouth is. Thanks again for keeping up with the GOE website as well. It is still a great place to stay up on current events.

Sounds like some of the media is waking up.

I'm leaning toward the belief that C-SPAN and all of the other MSM hadn't a clue as to how many supported the troops. Maybe, now that they realize how many do and how many are veterans, they think this is bigger news that the commies carrying communists signs and flags at the anti-war protests.
Or maybe the MSM is starting to get scared cause people are starting to find out who ANSWER really is.
It surely has a lot to do with the hard work of FReepers in getting the real conservative news out.
