Thank you tgslTakoma for all of your hard work. What a great turnout! I roamed Constitution Gardens from about 10 until 3, and it was an absolute delight to see so many patriots there, from all over the country.
The protesters were much more polite than I've ever seen them before. I'm sure having a large number of responsible adults watching their every move and countering their ridiculous chants took down their courage a notch or two. In one case, a protester, with wife, a 12-year old daughter and a toddler in a stroller, flipped the bird to the vets around me. They started telling him he should be ashamed of doing that in front of his little girl. The dad got mad, but the look of realization on the girl's face was priceless. She's not daddy's little girl anymore, I think.
Sorry about that Kev. This was the story to which I was referring. What did you say to the kid and did he change his mind about being anti-war?
Very nice!!!!
Girl, if you ever set out to drive to D.C. for a rally again, you best be sure you have me along for the ride. I'm so bummed about missing this one.
Yes, you and Ann Coulter are right. Also, leftists act on their feelings, and conservatives use logic. Feelings trump thoughts because they are deeper in the brain. Ir is really hard to argue with feelings. Which is why they can brush off our arguments.
I have trained myself to say "how do you feel about..." when I am talking to a liberal. They can answer that type of question, keeping a dialogue open, much better than a "what do you think about..." which they hear as an attack on their 'sensibilities' for the poor or the planet or whatever feelgood cause.
Well, I'm back home. Tired, cold, but elated.

"Fox News should get a spanking for their news blackout (except for Neil Cavuto) in the weeks leading up to this event. Even our "friends" like Hannity, etc., couldn't be bothered to talk about the event before it happened; but they had no problem putting Medea Benjamin and other assorted commies on their shows.
Imagine how many more people we would have had, if the entire MSM community had given us even half the coverage that they gave the communists."
Watch out WHO you presume to be your "friends"....!!!
I've approached EVERY major talk show in the country about bringing attention to Veterans' issues...and NOTHING...
Rush, Sean, Savage, Reagan...you name 'em....
They are ALL in the "entertainment" business....and MOST concerned about their RATINGS.
RATINGS = $$$$
Have not idea . . probably here. I've had the link for ages. It's a keeper.
That was the impression that I got, too. When they marched through the Gauntlet, most of them just grinned sheepishly.
Thats funny!
Your are such a sweetheart for posting these for me. Thank you so very much! Send me a bill.
And .. people need to understand that in order to get into this committee meeting, you have to have a PASS FROM A CONGRESS PERSON - which means that some DEMOCRAT allowed this KOOK to have a pass.
And .. Most of the time .. the people who check you into these rooms .. don't allow you to have on that kind of shirt. Therefore .. they lied .. they cheated .. they hid the truth about what they were wearing under another shirt in order to be allowed into the room. Typical antics by the left.
WHERE WAS THE REPUB WITH THE GUTS TO STAND UP AND DEMAND THAT THIS PERSON BE REMOVED FROM THE ROOM. Glad I wasn't holding my breath!
We'd just have to take the southerly route rather than the faster one. :)
I spent most of the day hanging out with Mike Benge, the writer and former POW. We had coffee at the snack bar in the middle of Moonbat Central, and were pleased to observe that all the coffee cups were red, white and blue, with "Pride in America" written on them. You could see some of the leftists considering their coffee with distaste.
Probably 90% - 95% of the leftists' signs were mass-produced. The homemade ones weren't too impressive. They mostly said semi-coherent things about Palestine, Impeachment and, of course, "war crimes." My favorite read, "Iran and Venezuela, together forever!"
Mike came out of a Porta-Potty at one point and found himself face-to-face with a Park cop, who glanced at his jacket, gestured, and said, "Patriotic Americans over there."
The leftists made a couple of unsuccessful attempts to infiltrate the GOE area. The veterans formed a barrier and stopped everyone with an antiwar sign. They also set up a gauntlet on the sidewalk on Constitution Ave., and gave their opinions to leftists from both sides as they slunk past. One yappy woman walked through flashing peace signs with both hands, and I managed to get a chant of "Victory! Victory!" going, which she didn't seem to appreciate.
I'd say the crowd sizes were pretty close, and our side was more energized. A few aging leftists worked themselves up enough to do odd little dances, but it didn't look like their hearts were really in it.
Hey, all we are saying is give war a chance...
Ah shucks....and I've been looking for you in the pictures..lol
