According to the Encampment to Stop The War (an ANSWER activity), there will be a protest at Walter Reed at 3 PM on Thursday, March 15th. More information is at:
http://encampmenttostopthewar.blogspot.com/
Also, the moonbats will be protesting the AIPAC conference on Monday at 7 PM.
It will be a great way to start the GoE weekend, by letting the moonbats know they will not have a minute of "peace".
And thanks Thunder90 for the heads up.
I will be in DC on Thursday. It is a 10 hour drive (at LEAST) and will be leaving about 4 in the AM....
I will be there for the Walter Reed comedy show that Sensie is so AWESOME for doing!!! I will be bringing a friend, and Honest Conservative is meeting with me before the show - she wants to come too!!!!
I will actually be able to do interviews with troops and family, etc....Thanks to Sensei- I will be able to interview the comedians!
Special thanks to MNJohnnie- I will also be able to actually record these interviews and post them on the Web!
I will be covering the Gathering of Eagles LIVE on Control Congress Radio!
This is a chance of a lifetime, and so many of you made this possible....I am truly BLESSED!
GOD BLESS FREEPERS! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!
And
GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!!!!!!!!!!
Sounds like you'll be driving right into WR.
Have a safe trip.

Good rant, you hit all the key points.
They are a big pain in the butt.
Welcome to FR. Best of luck reaching your ambition of becoming a flight medic someday. So many lives have been saved by the skill and devotion to excellence of combat medics that it is truly awe-inspiring. Your work is crucially important. You will be in my prayers.
Thanks for the heads-up Thunder90
Thanks for your service and for taking care of our beloved soldiers, SoldierMedic! You are definitely one of the most awesome breed there is and we celebrate your work every Friday night in public and every other day in our private ways.
love your tagline! see you Saturday, I hope!
We need local bodies.
BMW, you may know ... can I get to Walter Reed by subway from Pentagon City? I can't make it Thursday, but maybe Friday.
Also, on Saturday, is it an easy subway ride from P/C to the GOE?
Thanks for any help. I'm coming from a long way off.
I'm not a native but I know that the closest metro stations to WRAMC are Silver Spring (red line) and Takoma (also red line) but it's a bit of a walk from either thru an area of "questionable ambiance" at night. The DC group recommends you make arrangements with them to be picked up at the stations and driven to WRAMC. (They did it for me when I went first time.) I'd recommend freepmailing trooprally or tgsltakoma to make arrangements.
As for GOE, you MIGHT get there faster taking the metro to the Arlington Cemetery station and walking across the bridge. Otherwise you take the Metro (blue or orange)to Foggy Bottom station* and walk about 6 blocks to the Mall.
(*There is an alternative route for you to take yellow to L'enfant Plaza and switch to blue to Smithsonian, but that's further away from the GOE rally point.) The metro info is available at http://www.wmata.com/metrorail/systemmap.cfm
NOTE: Usually the Metro starts at 7:00 AM weekends; there is a RUMOR it may start at 6:00 AM for this rally but that is unconfirmed. If you plan to be at the Mall at 7:00 AM you may have to take a taxi.
I think I posted this somewhere else but dealing with these moonbats is like playing "whack-a-mole"; ya hit them over the head and they pop up elsewhere. Thank you for persevering! I'm going to post this info on the parallel boards for any early arrivals for GOE who might be antsy from the wait to engage the opponent. :-)
I hope to see you, too! Been a while...
Thanks for the thread, Thunder90!
You can get off at Silver Springs but it is about 8 blocks walking South. You can also get off at Takoma and walk about 3 blocks North East. The Takoma station is not a great area but the whole area sucks. Just be on your guard.
Just sent the map and your comments to friends coming in from out of state! Thanks!
Their problem is a vast cowardice. Even though the troops are volunteers, these cowards are projecting their fears of ever having to serve their country into contempt for those who have been brave enough to do so.
They may rationalize that they can somehow eliminate all need for war; but their real aim is to keep themselves from having to feel at all responsible for preserving the freedoms so hard won by past generations.
They can't even cough up a neutral attitude.
As coward fascists who believe in big government control of the little people instead of freedom, they bully those in the war spectrum who are most vulnerable and least likely to stoop to the dishonor of fighting back -- the wounded and their families.
I've said it before ...what a way you have with words.
I wish I could express my own feelings as well.
