I am so MAD at not being able to be there this week. I could just cry! See I have a way with words too! LOL
My previous reply mentioned going to Foggy Bottom Metro station. The official GOE website is now calling for folks to go to the Farragut West station, in order to avoid encountering large groups of our opponents at the FB station. (I believe their charter buses are also unloading in that area, 23rd and Constitution so this other station will help reduce the chances of confrontation before we're united.) Be prepared to see/meet them in the metro trains and on the street, though.

I looked at the permitting maps and was very concerned by the proximity to the parade route and the "sandwich" look to the main gathering area.
I will be watching and hoping that cool heads prevail.

And Bill Maher said on Larry King the reason Walter Reed was run poorly is because the private sector was in charge. Did not know that.
Maher is totally inaccurate. There are some civilian employees, but the administration is military, as well as the health workers. Even the nurses are military, many of them males.
DC Chapter leadership is working diligently on that issue. As of now, the Park Service's plan includes a no-man's land buffer zone between the two groups, and the use of high vinyl construction fences to separate the groups as well.
The way he said it some fundraiser who was in real estste was running the show at that hospital. Now if true this would be on the news more than Anna Nicole.
I figured the type of plastic or snow fence, but what a lot of work if just separating by streets would work.
