Scientists Receive Death Threats For Questioning Man’s Role in Global Warming
NewsBusters.org ^ | Noel Sheppard

Think those advancing anthropogenic global warming theories are serious about their views? Well, an article from Sunday’s Telegraph should scare every person around the world about the zealotry and danger surrounding this issue (emphasis mine throughout):

Scientists who questioned mankind's impact on climate change have received death threats and claim to have been shunned by the scientific community.

They say the debate on global warming has been "hijacked" by a powerful alliance of politicians, scientists and environmentalists who have stifled all questioning about the true environmental impact of carbon dioxide emissions.

Shocked? Astounded? That’s only the beginning:

Timothy Ball, a former climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg in Canada, has received five deaths threats by email since raising concerns about the degree to which man was affecting climate change.

One of the emails warned that, if he continued to speak out, he would not live to see further global warming.

Why is this happening in Ball’s view:

"Western governments have pumped billions of dollars into careers and institutes and they feel threatened," said the professor.

"I can tolerate being called a sceptic because all scientists should be sceptics, but then they started calling us deniers, with all the connotations of the Holocaust. That is an obscenity. It has got really nasty and personal."

Other well-known skeptics agreed with Ball:

Richard Lindzen, the professor of Atmospheric Science at Massachusetts Institute of Technology - who also appeared on the documentary - recently claimed: "Scientists who dissent from the alarmism have seen their funds disappear, their work derided, and themselves labelled as industry stooges."

"Consequently, lies about climate change gain credence even when they fly in the face of the science."

Dr Myles Allen, from Oxford University, agreed. He said: "The Green movement has hijacked the issue of climate change. It is ludicrous to suggest the only way to deal with the problem is to start micro managing everyone, which is what environmentalists seem to want to do."

Nigel Calder, a former editor of New Scientist, said: "Governments are trying to achieve unanimity by stifling any scientist who disagrees. Einstein could not have got funding under the present system."

It’s getting scary out there, folks.

I wonder if there was a survey done, what percentage of people on the left believe in the "global Warming" hype?and vice versa.

Is this any different from what happened when some questioned if DDT was truly the harmful and evil chemical that was claimed just a few decades back?

The fact of the matter is, the TRUTH gets in the way of the CONTROL that some would like to exercise over society and the world. Questioning power can be awfully dangerous...

There's a lot of money to be made with this scam. This is a religion and their Prophets want profits.

Why do I get the felling that Tom Clancey's fictional book "Rainbow-Six" is beginning to play out before our very eyes in real life.

There is big $$$ to be made in carbon indulgences and reducing the carbon footprints of the rich. I wonder where the Mafia stands on this issue.

I keep getting emails from DUmmies I know asking how I will feel when my grandchildren are up to their necks in water because of the melting of the world's ice. Try to show them facts and they just come back with more "I feel....". Never let it be said that facts get in their way.

There is no need for this anymore than questioning whether the sun will rise in the east. GW is orthodox doctrine in the religion of the left,

"Western governments have pumped billions of dollars into careers and institutes and they feel threatened," said the professor.

This is the sentence that took my eye. There should be no threat for these freeloaders sucking off government money. It is their obligation to retrain for a new job. We are expected to do it--even some after years in a particular field. Global Economy.

Scary, yes, but are we really surprised by this? The Left are nothing but a bunch of thugs, regardless of the issues put forth. And I have no doubt that slimeballs like Gore, Maurice Strong and his UN lackies have a financial stake in the carbon offset scam. Think of the lowest low and the lefties are likely to sink to it.

All three of my children learned early on that the first time you hear the words "I Feel" in a discussion the individual that uttered them has the weakest argument. Attack with facts. Keep on pressing home the attack with facts using statements to start it like "The facts in this matter state unlike your emotions that,..." Do it nicely in a normal tone of voice and those around you will see the "I Feel" voice get shrill, full of even more emotion, resort to vulgarity, and slander. Told them to smile broadly and continue to press home the attack with renewed vigor. Funny how the rest of the crowd suddenly realizes the "I Feel" is an idiot and walks away from their former "I Feel" friend or acquaintance.

It's the Old Catholic Church all over again...but the former victims are now the victimizers. You would have thought they would have learned.

Enviromentalism and Global Warming: The New Religion-Believe or Die. (darn, that sounds familiar)

"Is this any different from what happened when some questioned if DDT was truly the harmful and evil chemical that was claimed just a few decades back?"

J. Gordon Edwards used to eat DDT to prove it's harmlessness. He did it for years before finally dying of a heart attack at the age of 84, while mountain climbing.

Radical Environmentalism is the Communist Party of America in disguise......becoming almost indistinguishable from the Democrat Party...

Deceit and disguise are still necessary because there are 10s of millions of armed households in America.....and they haven't yet destroyed the Republic enough to blatantly seize control...so they are content for now with handcuffing or fighting the expansion of our economy, technology or energy self sufficiency...
Look at ALL their "goals" in this light, and you will see the direct match up....

It is no surprise that Algore as risen to the top of the turd bowel of "man caused global warming"..believers.

Gore's father and the Gore family wealth came largely from the Gore family association with Armand Hammer - the COMMUNIST.
Gore senior was very helpful to Hammer while the Senior Gore was Senator -- and after his tour of the Senate went on Armand Hammers payroll for $500,000 per year..

Algore the shyster, moron, liar, self serving and intellectual midget - is following in daddy's footsteps..

One I do volunteer work with. This guy hates, in no particular order, Bush, Republicans, CEO's, CFO's, large companies, companies that want to be large, drug companies, oh it goes on and on. Last week he was going off about global warming and I pulled up on the computer a chart showing temp fluctuations for the last 1500 years or so...total silence. Hasn't brought it up since.

"Rainbow Six" was great! Have you read Michael Crichton's "State of Fear"? Similar premise, but more humorous in spots.
