Shame On Conservatives (for not supporting Coulter)
RightBias News ^ | 3-9-07 | Nancy Morgan

Posted on 03/09/2007 11:12:02 AM PST by nancyvideo

One of the major differences between liberals and conservatives is that liberals are much more susceptible to group think. Most on the left are content to accept the prevailing leftist talking points as their own without questioning any of the intellectual underpinnings of said argument. (Think global warming..)

Conservatives, on the other hand, are more likely to rely on the substance and facts of a debate instead of drawing their conclusions based on 'consensus' and 'feelings'. At least that used to be so.

Enter Ann Coulter.

"So, falsely implying that John Edwards is a "faggot" is "fighting back"?"

No, reclaiming the language is fighting back. Resisting the PC tyranny that would bar us from speaking our minds is fighting back. Refusing to be cowed by pervofascist activists who wish to insist that opposing their agenda is the equivalent of racism is fighting back.

If you ever do muster the guts to fight a war of ideas, please let us know. All I see is a lot of whining over Ann's truths and Ann's manners and Ann's refusal to be a surrender monkey in the face of the normal tactics of the left. You don't mind very much if conservatives lose so long as they speak respectfully in oval tones to the enemies of our civilization. This is not polo. It is war. Lead, follow or get out of the way. Attacking Ann is none of these.

If you like, you and that handful like you can start a manners movement. It will give you something to occupy your time while actual conservatives do the heavy lifting. You can be a "conservative" fellow traveler while handing out books full of Dear Abby and Ask Ann Landers. The left is not harmed by distracting its eccentrics with vegetarianism, twelvesome liberation fronts, interspecies sex advocates, one shower a year clubs, and what not. Conservatives can thrive when the "their turn to curtsy, their turn to bow" wussie caucus are concentrating on the really important things like whoring after "human respect" from the enemies of our civilization.

This country's SCOTUS and the militantly immoral left have achieved the 50 million marker in slaughtered innocent babies and all you worry about is manners. You are no ally of mine. Ann is. You are no ally of the conservative movement. Ann is a vital part of it. She counts. You don't.

If you think our enemies are owed respect, pay it to them (as publicly as possible so we will know who you are). I won't. Thirty-five years ago, I noticed that leftists hate nothing more than they hate being laughed at. It totally disarms them because they take themselves and their lunatic causes sooooooo seriously. They become disabled by rage in the presence of conservatives who make fun of them. The faggoty Breck girl/Silky Pony is a perfect example.

BTW, again, the Beck Girl/SilkyPony''s foreign policy, military policy, spending policy, social issues policies, abortion policy, lavender queen policy, among others are faggot policies. He is effeminate (hours fussing with his hair each day). He seeks the nomination of the faggot-loving party. Ergo, he is a faggot. The left does not define the meaning of words. The dictionary does. The older the better.

If you do not have the stomach for combat, get out of the way. Stirring the base and adding to it win campaigns. Even Nixon derided McGovern as the candidate of "acid, amnesty and abortion" to great effect. Agnew had great effect attacking the media in ways from which they have not been able to recover yet. See the history of what happened to leftist columnist Drew Pearson when he (truthfully) outed a lavender ring in Reagan's first gubernatorial administration. Reagan shut Pearson's mouth as to Reagan permanently by challenging Pearson the next day on statewide California live televised news conference to explain Pearson's arrest on morals charges in St. Louis in 1918 or 1919. Reagan rid himself promptly of all of the perps and never had that sort of problem in his governments again. Reagan's words (for those who regard our best man and best president as a wimp) were roughly: "Before Drew Pearson takes up his tripewriter again or a grease pencil to scrawl his obscenites on an outhouse wall which is the only place they might belong, he should explain the details of his own arrest on morals charges in St. Louis in 1918" (or 1919).

Of course, you and some others here will be tempted to accuse Ronaldus Maximus of political opportunism at the expense of Pearson, and opportunism that lowered the tone of the "debate" (there is NO debate and hasn't been one for many years) or that he had a "big mouth" and wanted "lots of press" even though what he said reflected negatively on Drew Pearson (pooooor Drew Pearson) or on those objective icons of the working press who had to bear hearing such inconsiderate (well, just rude really!!!) even before their traditional meal of spaghettied spine of weakling "rightist" (which Reagan never was).

Reagan chose his moments while Annie is on autoattack but she is not running for office. She makes our candidates look soooooooo much more "moderate" unless they would like to compete with her.

There was a time when I respected Coulter. If you lower yourself to get back at someone, you just lower yourself, period.

This isn't an important free speech issue. Nobody is questioning her legal right to say whatever she likes. People are just personally criticizing her personal decision to use such language, that's all.

If you think that's how to win the war of ideas and campaigns....well, let's just say that my manners are too good to say what I think.

Well so what you are saying is the polite way is the best way no matter whether you win or lose. Because its not whether you win or lose its how you play the game? Perhaps you might be bothered to list the victories gained so far in this crucial war of ideas? Would you count these as victories?

1. Colleges are havens of rational thought not sliding into the morass of leftist ideology.

2. Mainstream media does not take an active role in promoting the leftist ideology.

3. Kyoto is not a plot to destroy semi capitalist nations

4. Nearly all of Hollywood does not march lockstep with the left.

5. Newspapers around the country are interested in exposing the lies and treachery of the left.

6. We are not seeing a concerted attack against Christians and Jews around the world.

Perhaps you have others you might want to list...

7. Ooops I forgot the Right controls the most powerful government in the world...and all of the bureaucracies.

Lets see what Mao has to say about politics and how genteel it is supposed to be...

Politics is war without bloodshed while war is politics with bloodshed. Mao Tse-Tung

So then if your method has some victories to recommend it then I am willing to listen...else perhaps it is time for your like to sit down and watch the fight. Because in politics and war it isn't how you play the game, it is whether you win or lose.

Ann Coulter understands this and you don't. She is not perfect none of us are but at least she knows how to fight.

The left is engaged in war against civilization...you don't even seem to realize it. If you doubt this then consider their newest partners against us...the alliance of ANSWER and the Islamic Thugs.

Actually, it discomforts those "conservatives" too sissified to fight and it gives blue collar Democrats reason to hope that the GOP will return to the social issue warfare which is its most effectve weapon and reason to become the next set of Ragan Rpublicans. Retire the white shoes and bow ties. This is war and has been for decades. We need Pattons and Ann Coulters not Averill Harrimans and George Wills.

I don't want her or anyone else to sound like Pat Buchanan on most matters. Pat is right on abortion and limpwrist "rights" but paleo is not me. I believe in militant intervention with Congress sitting down, shutting up and appropriating whatever is necessary to victory. I figuratively regard diplomacy, internationalism and isolationism as four-letter words.

I voted for Pat Buchanan a couple of times in the 1990s before he discovered paleopantywaistism in foreign/military policy as his idea of conservatism. Pat's only involvement in the conservative movement, as such, was speaking at conferences as a White House official. I won't be voting for him again. OTOH, I think Ann has been a lot more militant in her use of language than gentleman Pat ever was. He is a gentleman of the old school, however wrong on some policies, and the old school is dead. I agree with him on trade and markets and populism and Ann tends not to agree with him on those.

If Ann said that anti-war types support our troops, I would drop her in a second but that kind of statement is not conservative. Like Ann, I am an unreconstructed enthusiast for the sainted Senator Joe McCarthy ((see her Treason). If she said: Whatever we say, let's be really civil and respectful to our enemies, I would drop her but I know that there will be no fear of her saying any such thing. Also, it would not be conservative for her to do so. If she trended libertarian at the expense of tradition, that might be considered rightist in some circles and I would not be pleased. I don't consider bordermania conservatism and I think she does but she is too valuable to be dropped for an issue already decided in favor of my team.

Excuse me BlackElk, please show me my post where I criticize Ann OR have shown respect to my enemies. I have done NOTHING but stand up for her rights to speak HER MIND as she choses. I really have NO IDEA what your rant is about.

"It isn't courage that drives her, but ego."

Thomas Sowell: "It is amazing how many people think that they can answer an argument by attributing bad motives to those who disagree with them. Using this kind of reasoning, you can believe or not believe anything about anything, without having to bother to deal with facts or logic."

"If you think our enemies are owed respect...."

Actually, I never said that. I simply don't think you win votes by having arrogant blondes insulting candidates to draw attention to HERSELF. And FYI, I'm extremely conservative. Perhaps you meant to accuse me of not being an ally to the Republican Party - it's not nearly conservative enough for me.

PLEASE, Do NOT respond to me again. Your rant is ridiculous.

These days faggot means homosexual. You have no proof that Edwards is a homosexual, only that he is a bit effeminate. In fact, if he were not a public figure, you could be charged with libel for your ridiculous rant. DO NOT respond to me again.

I am happy to agree to disagree, but I refuse to argue with someone who makes unfounded, libelous accusations. Lies don't belong in debates.

Have a good day.

Thats funny I was thinking the same thing about you.

The right has had its ass handed to it for so long we think its natural. Confusing ideology with tactics is foolish which is exactly where the "well we can't descend to their level" whine originates from...the corallary is a cop cannot use a gun because murderers use them too.

We should learn from the left. They beat us like redhaired step children with an ideology that is absurd...yet their tactics were superb. Attack, establish a position, wait till everyone comprimises with you then attack again. Little by little the world looks like the stack of crap we have now. Their absurd ideology is not the point...of course we cannot adopt their ideology...but we can pick up their "gun" and shoot them in the head. Cause that is exactly what they have planned for us and anyone who doubts this need only look to Cambodia, China, Soviet Paradise and the rest of the Utopias.

I think this whole thing is rather amusing. I am supposed to be offended by some woman calling a stinking politician a name??? What have we become??? I don't care what the name is,, a name is just a name! A word! So what if she stole the limelight from a bunch of Rino's! We got to see how gutless some of them really are!! What the homosexuals want to do to this country,, what liberal activist judges who are little more than despots are doing to this nation, what Socialist Marxist Democrats are doing,, that is the actual offense! They and those like them are an offense to humanity! I puke in their direction! Ann Coulter is more of a man than half of us! We should hold up our can of rootbeer to her and say "Ann, We salute you!!"
