I haven't read an issue of SI, the Sporting News or ESPN magazines in about 3 years. Any info a sports fan--or just about anyone--could possibly need is online now anyway.
That and SI's Paul "Dr. Z" Zimmerman is bitter that his ex-wife slept with Ken Stabler (according to rumor), so he's become dead set against any Raider ever getting into the HOF ever again.

Now any minor swing in the weather is seen as a guarantee that it's happening.....The hysterics seem to have been able to dump that bit of reason and just scream from the rooftops over a single hot summer. The underpants gnomes designed this hellhole we're in.
Step 1) Take over education and remove all critical thinking skills from the children.
Step 2) TBD.
Step 3) GLOBAL WARMING.

Well, if this is true then we need to immediately move all sports teams from low lying areas. That means SF, Miami, NY, Boston and all the other low altitude teams need to be moved to the center of continental US.

I have been a continuous subscriber of
Scientific American since I got out of the USAF in 1965.
But I am with you: their leftist crap in place of solid science is absolutely disgusting.
Scientific American has received its final dollar from me!!!

Crap.
Don't take it so hard! Maybe you could teach them to sing and tap dance. I'd be happy to pay $5 to watch singing, tap dancing giant midgets!

Needs a swimsuit. I agree, but Dontrelle may not be comfortable donning a two-piece this early in the season.

I thought at first it was a photo from inside the N.O. Superdome; then I did a double-take and realized it's Dolphin Stadium in North Dade. LOL!

Forty years form now, movies like the Day After Tomorrow will be viewed with the same campy nostalgia that we feel when watching Them! or Panic in the Year Zero today. An Inconvenient Truth will be available in mail order catalogs in the same section as Reefer Madness.

I posted about SI being a liberal rag a year or two ago, and got ridiculed big time by a few people for saying that. You were right. These SI and ESPN types are a bunch of frustrated, jock-sniffing, liberal, journalism majors. They wish they were spreading DNC propaganda at the Times, but they are forced to listen to a bunch of ball-bouncing morons answer their lame questions with programmed sports cliches. Rick Reilly is the worst at SI.

Until Godzilla awakens... Oh no. You just reminded me of one of scariest movies I ever saw (I was about 9, I think) The Thing! Not the remake, but the original with James Arness (Matt Dillon) as The Thing. They melted it and that was a BIG mistake. Yes sir, a Big mistake.

What put the tin hat on it for me was an article in the August issue called
The Expert Mind, written by Phillip E. Ross. In this piece he makes the claim that experts (chess grandmasters, world class athletes, etc.) are MADE and not BORN. He even claims that it was motivation and practice that made Mozart.
He has not one word about the vast amount of evidence linking linking genes to abilities--the same old, tired tabla rasa crap all pimped up in Scientific Amercian. It was then I decided that they can keep their ridiculous agendas but it won't be on my dime. Pitiful leftist crapola masquerading as science.
