JEFFERSON CITY–Following a state employee’s tip that tonight led to the detainment of dozens of suspected illegal immigrants, Gov. Matt Blunt today ousted a state contractor who hired illegal workers and ordered state agencies to enact a no tolerance policy through tough new contract protections.

So they'll just slither down here to Arkansas, where we have one of the nation's fastest growing Hispanic Populations.

Many thanks to former Gov. Huckabee..

Outstanding!

Too bad my (Utah) state reps and governor don't have the guts to do the same thing.

I certainly hope he will eventually run for President. I really like our governor. This is just one of the many good decisions he's made. On the news last night they said, he'd warned contractors if they don't comply, they will lose lucrative government contracts. Thank you Governor Blunt!!

I remember one that caused controversy, there was some law about, can't remember exactly what, something about blacks being on the street after dark or some other equally odd law, everyone was all up in arms that he spent taxpayers money getting that law off the books. As a general rule, he's conservative with money as well but this was a law, even though everyone knew was ridiculous and was not enforced, it needed to come off. I can't think of anything he's done I can't agree with.
