A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

ood morning, FRiends.   I have often wished I had a *generic* table to post on days when I'm short of time,   or low on creativity, and can't think of a theme or can't find the right graphics when I *have* a theme.   So, here it is - I made one - and you will probably see it again 'cause it just says WELCOME!

I'm calling it my "Ain't Got No Theme" (sorta)  or  "Ain't Got No Graphics" (sorta) table.  When you see it, you will know it's one or the other - or BOTH!   Do hope you'll stop in, have a cup of coffee, share your thoughts, pick a theme, post a picture, offer a suggestion for a future theme, offer to WRITE a future thread, or just wave as you drive by. :)

I guess that kind of weather would help me, too.

It's bright and sunny here. Nearly spring, I am thinkin'!

I am trying to keep the toll issue but the media ignores too much of what is going on. When I have something new I feed it out, if they pick it up things get moving again.

The temp is getting a little better. We are coming out of the coldest winter in 30 years and the most snow in 12...

So much for global warning.

Ain't Got No Theme, eh?

First thought that comes to mind is the showtune song from Porgy and Bess, I Got Plenty o' Nuttin by Ira and George Gershwin.

Well, depending on which side of the half full/half empty glass one might be standing, I'll choose the half full.

I got my faith, I got my family, I got my country, and I got my FRiends.

Yep, I got plenty o' everything I could ever need.

Just keep punching their buttons, Rus. You are the real activist up there!

Glad it's warming up. Who knew that this winter would be so very cold. Algore needs to give his Oscar back! Sheesh! Especially in light of this:

A REVOLTING REVELATION

Faith is not demanding what we want; it is trusting God’s goodness in spite of life’s tragedies.

Beautiful. I always enjoy these devotions. And today is no exception. I am at the childrens hospital in Indianapolis with my daughter and SIL and granddaughter Hannah Grace who was born Dec. 16th. Hannah has a birth defect that required surgery Feb. 19th. She has had some complications related to the surgery and on Friday she "coded" due to a central line IV that got out of position and allowed fluid to build up in the sac around her heart. Thankfully, God had His hand on this precious child because the docs were concerned about the complications and had taken her back to the OR to do some in-depth checking out. None of the symptoms indicated a problem with the central line or her heart. Hannah's heart nearly stopped beating due to all the fluid pressing on it. A cardiologist "just so happened" to be right outside the OR at exactly this time and the surgeon yelled for her to come right away and get the fluid off her heart while he did chest compressions. The surgeon said this is only the second time he has ever seen a central line IV get out of place like that in all his years of medical practice. He said if Hannah had been in her room in the infant unit when she coded that she would have died because they would not have been able to get to her in time. We are so thankful for God and His protection of this dear baby. She had another surgery (colostomy) on Sunday and is doing better. She will need another surgery in a couple months, but the doctors expect her to be OK. We would appreciate prayers for Hannah and her family. Thanks FRiends!

Hillary Clinton goes to a primary school in New York to talk about world affairs. After her talk she offers a question time.

One little boy puts up his hand. The Senator asks him what his name is.

"Kenneth."

"And what is your question, Kenneth?"

"I have three questions:
First - whatever happened to the medical health care plan you were paid to develop during your husband's eight years in the office as President?

Second - why would you run for President after your husband shamed the office?

Third - whatever happened to all those things you took when you left the White House?"
Just then the bell rings for recess. Hillary Clinton informs the kids that they will continue after recess.
When they resume, Hillary says, "Okay, where were we? Oh, that's right, question time. Who has a question?"

A different little boy puts his hand up. Hillary point him out and asks him what his name is.

"Larry."

"And what is your question, Larry?"

"I have five questions:

First - whatever happened to the medical health care plan you were paid to develop during your husband's eight years in the office as President?

Second - why would you run for President after your husband shamed the office?

Third - whatever happened to all those things you took when you left the White House?

Fourth - why did the recess bell go off 20 minutes early?

Fifth - what the hell happened to Kenneth?"

Beautiful graphic Billie!

Lots of strange news today, Cheney was targeted and the stock market went bezerk. I was trying to do some shopping today but kept getting distracted by the news on the radio.
