"Keep pushing the Republican Party because you're pushing it in the right direction," New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani told the Log Cabin Republican convention over the weekend.

I have no problems with adults choosing their own relationships, but what does Rudy mean by this? He is cited with wanting to allow gays to openly serve in the miltary. Food for thought.

Rather stale food if you ask me. This post is from 1999.

IMO, I could care less if gays openly serve in the millitary. I don't know what the impact would be, that's why I support leaving the decision up to Defense Leadership.

I don't know much about the Log Cabin republicans, I might head over to their website and see where they stand. If they are republicans in every other way but just support things like civil unions, and domestic partner benefits then I could care less and would say welcome to the club. If they support federal gay marriage legislation that is a very very different story.

Agree with them or be guilty of an "attack." Oh brother. Quite frankly I think it is most unloving to aid someone who is harming themselves, making a fool of themselves, or just flat doing something disgusting.

When the GOP is pro-gay then I will consider myself no longer a member.

Now there's a very poor choice of words from a Presidential candidate!

You've got to go back to an article quoting Pat Buchanan to slam Rudy?

Try harder next time.

DON'T let anyone make you think homosexuals are synomous with Log Cabin Republicans! They are NOT. Log Cabin Republicans are SDS! They are funded by Soros just as the Victory Funds are funded by Soros.

Rudy still IS a Log Cabin Republican:

Gay Republicans Seek Recognition

I'm pretty sure I could recognize them...They'll be the ones at the convention wearing the black leather short-shorts and fabulous pink cowboy hats.

If he really said this, I don't think he's very seruious about running. I mean, he's giving the social conservatives every reason they need to try to destroy him.

It doesn't matter if this article is 8 years old or not, can you imagine the commercial the crats will make using this statement.

Picture this: The typical San Francisco fag parade with all the queers in their leather chaps with their butt cheeks hanging out, drag queens on floats, guys swapping spit with each other and then Rudy's statement in a voice over

"Keep pushing the Republican Party because you're pushing it in the right direction,"

ANNOUNCERS VOICE: (real sarcastic) The party of family values? You decide

I can see the crats playing an ad just like this all over the south and the mid-west.

Rudy Guiliani, the candidate that most resembles a fat hanging curve ball.

Being anti-gay is a losing position for the GOP.

Well--so Rudy wants to 'push' (no pun intended) the Party in THEIR direction?

I guess that makes sense actually. The Rudy-apologists here keep telling us that we (the traditional conservative base) are no longer needed. Yep, replacing us with 'liberals, independents, and more gays' is definitely the direction that the Republican Party needs to move. /s

I hope the Rudy-apologists enjoy their NEW PARTY--I wish them well.

Gay Republicans should be forced into the closet, the door locked and all their cries for liberation ignored. :)

"Keep pushing the Republican Party because you're pushing it in the right direction," New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani told the Log Cabin Republican convention over the weekend.

Giuliani is a flaming liberal. He is all for the homosexual agenda, abortion on demand, gun control and the promotion of global warming propaganda.

Giuliani isn't the least bit conservative and is must be defeated.
