Elon Poll says Clinton, Giuliani have presidential edge
ABC ^ | Feb. 24, 2007 | AP

Sen. Hillary Clinton and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani hold an edge among candidates in the 2008 presidential race. But an Elon University poll also shows but undecided voters still predominate.

Thirty percent of people who said they would vote Democratic supported Clinton... But 24 percent said it was too early to decide and 22 percent didn't know who to support, the poll said.

Republicans said it was too early to tell, 31 percent, or they didn't know, 25 percent. Giuliani had 21 percent while Sen. John McCain of Arizona picked up 16 percent and former Gov. Mitt Romney of Massachusetts got 3 percent.

Looks like this poll provided for "undecided" and "don't konw", which is basically the same thing.

Looks like about half the people don't know or undecided, and of the other half Hillary is leading the Dems and Rudy leading the Republicans.

The upcoming debates in May and September and more vigorous campaigning should help us sort out where the undecideds are going to break.

Anyone who would sit out a Rudy v. Hillary election day because Rudy isn't conservative enough is unpatriotic. Sulking and allowing Hillary to come to power is the ultimate in selfishness.

All I want to see is a debate betweeen these two arch enemies. Sure, Guliani may be a RINO, but he is going to hand Ms. 900 files her head on a platter, in all his lisping beauty.

I can't see anyone sitting it out against Hillary. I know it's naive but I just can not see how someone could prefer HRC to any Republican. I would vote for a stick with a plate for a face with a smiley face drawn in crayon just so Hildy did not get to 1600 Pennsylvania again.

Of course it's a free country and people can vote for who they want.

But I'm also free to call them retards for allowing that woman into power because Giuliani doesn't think gays should be outlawed (like I should give a crap what those people do in their own homes).

I'm a conservative, i.e. I don't want government telling me what to do, or anyone else what they should do in their own homes. If people don't like Rudy's social policies, do they think allowing Hillary (whose social positions are far worse) to win in order to "send a message" will achieve ANYthing?

It is not a matter of "selfish sulking", but a matter of conviction that I cannot vote for someone that is morally bankrupt like Rudy.

Personally, I do not think that it will ever come to a Rudy/Clinton shootout.

I can't see anyone sitting it out against Hillary.

I didn't either until last election day.

You don't see anyone on FR bragging that they helped the dems take over Congress in 06, but I have a feeling there are a lot of "Republicans" who like the feeling of staying home for anyone to the left of Pat Buchanan, thinking if they do that enough they will get their perfect candidate someday.

Yes it sends the message, "I am tired of being burned by the GOP so I am going to set my self on fire".

Clinton, Giuliani have presidential edge

Hillary Clinton indeed has an edge. But it isn't presidential.
