Here's the tally so far - this vote sort of looks like the "attitude" that was being displayed here as we were heading for the loss of the House and Senate - third party and undecided, and stay home versus voting for a social R will result in a Democrat in the White House - trust me on this! Please don't let it happen. But, I'm beginning to believe that it will happen.
______
Looks like our true blue conservative did pretty well in our prior poll. Let's now see what happens if we nominate a social liberal who's okay with abortion, gay unions and gay rights is a gun grabber and is weak on illegal immigration. Who do you vote for in the general?
Composite Opinion The social liberal with the big "R" 32.4% 1,424 Third party 28.6% 1,256 Undecided/praying 26.5% 1,164 Stay home 9.9% 435 Hillary, et al 2.5% 110 99.9% 4,389
Member Opinion The social liberal with the big "R" 34.3% 780 Third party 28.3% 644 Undecided/praying 28.2% 641 Stay home 8.2% 187 Hillary, et al 1.1% 24 100.1% 2,276
Non-Member Opinion The social liberal with the big "R" 30.5% 644 Third party 29.0% 612 Undecided/praying 24.8% 523 Stay home 11.7% 248 Hillary, et al 4.1% 86 100.1% 2,113
We each will be responsible before God for our vote.
I cannot imagine standing before Him having voted in any way that put Shrillery in power.

So don't nominate a RINO.
It's not complicated.
I too think it's exceedingly horrid when the choices are between a combination of Marx/Stalin/Machiavelli
vs
who . . . an idiot socialist RINO?
And McChurian would be horribly worse than Guillani.
Nevertheless, we may be required to make fine distinctions between a list of globalist evil doers.
The puppet masters are doing all they can to insure that they run things exclusively behind the scenes regardless. But it still makes a horrible difference to have someone like Shrillery in the President's position of power.
She is orders of magnitude worse than the rest of them.
So, just lose to a democrat liberal - is that what you want as a result, simply because no one is in the race that you care to vote for?
No compromise will doom conservatives at this point.
I agree.
I've been posting to this effect for the past week.
OK, let's go with that as it's my first choice also.
Who is the candidate that you have in mind for 2008 (that can win)?
Well, we are almost alone here as some posters as saying that we will loss if we put up a conservative - well, we don't have one, especially one with no baggage.
If this group is an indicator - we are doomed in 2008!
We have got to compromise and address terror as the primary goal. Rudy is the man. Sufficient pressure can be apply to maintain conservative values at least at the current level, but with a democrat in the White House, it would be much more difficult at all levels.
Come on people, Wake Up!
OK, so what is the support for Hunter on this site?
He should be ranked 1st, right?
I'm not crying about anything, just stated the facts as I interpret them. Don't be such a Bumpkin.
I'd vote for Zell Miller, Democrat, over any of the current Republican front runners, Romney, McCain, or Guiliani.
'Course, Democrats don't much like him or his type any more.
Why do people keep talking about a "perfect" candidate. A candidate doesn't have to be perfect, he just has to NOT be a total disaster. Being pro-abortion, pro-gun control, pro-illegal, pro-gay, and pro-Kyoto, Rudy definitely qualifies as a disaster.
"OK, very logically stated, but what if a true conservative isn't running?"
Tom Tancredo-Duncan Hunter.
"because the voting has been rigged this time with CA and several other big liberal states thrown into the mix before the south has a say, the chances of getting a liberal nominee have been pre-arranged IMO."
Bears repeating. The GOP appears to have a death wish, moving to the left will definately do the job.
