I'm certain that if they'd been awarding Purple Hearts, during the American Revolution, Benedict Arnold would have had a collection of them. it stil does not make up for his subsequent acts. All in all, Arnold was a better persn than Murtha could evr dream of being.

I understand we will have traitors. That happens, and I do wish they were prosecuted. However, what really sickens me to the pit was the sheer number of congressmen who supported him, especially the 17 Republicans.

Interesting thought. However, if you're referring to the possibility of a civil war between the American political Left and Right, who were you thinking would actually have the "nads" to go into combat on the side of the Left?

The Left expends their morality and political capital doing everything they can to avoid personal physical risk. If you think they'll go to war to save any of those political "
must haves" like abortion, free health care, or homosexual marriage, you need to think again. If the Right ever took up arms against the Left the war would be over before the first shot was fired.

Normally I would agree with you, but your argument actually depends on the left having common sense. Of course the "smart" ones would stay home. But you have many, many more who are not. With a leftist controlled government behind them anything is possible. There is nothing more dangerous than the clueless with a cause.

What happened yesterday with the voting and Murtha's big mouth...I am shocked, angry and dismayed all at the same time. However, I think the American people have just about had enough. I would not surprise me that private funds were started to support our troops. Or Congress caves under pressure and allots the funds to the military. Either way the American people should be angry over this latest Congress throwing their weight around. This is treasonous.

I'll never forgive the democrats for this and I'll never forgive the republicans who only wanted to punish the party. I believe it will happen in our streets. The islamofacists are patiently waiting for the 08 election. If a dem is elected Prez, and I think it will happen, then watch the terrorists acts begin. The massacure in Utah was just the beginning. There was a thread on FR just a week ago that dealt with terrorist scenerios attacking and overtaking our schools for murder and mayhem. Shocking and eyeopening at the same time.

I'm glad my children are grown. I'd hate to have raise another child in this world now. It makes me sick to think of the kind of world we're leaving them to deal with. Hopefully they'll have more sense about them than we did.

Last night I went to a special meeting with my pastor and some of the church's benefactors. We were discussing long range plans, etc. Our pastor almost seemed embarrassed to mention it, but he confided that one of his goals was to make our church "terrorist proof," because our large sanctuary would make an attractive target.

He wants to put his sermons on the Internet as videos. If terrorist attacks of churchs become common, we could meet as small groups in home churches, yet still remain connected. Now I understand why our church leadership has been pushing us to meet for small home based Bible studies. They now have the ability to "mobilize" the home churches by simply sending out a group email to our small group leaders, who would email us.

The funny thing is that no one in the room thought the idea was strange at all. These are not alarmist people, but we all realized we were headed that way.

I don't think we'll have to wait 'till the '08 elections for the muzzie-mischief to begin.

What Murtha has done goes far beyond the pale of political partisanship. This will lead to as constitutional crisis in which Congress wishes to exercise the powers of the Commander in Chief.

I worry for our nation, because somoeone is very likely to cap Murtha, feelings are running very high. Must we go through another Civil War at the hands of these liberal lusters for power?

Murtha is screaming at the good news coming out of Iraq.WE ARE WINNING. And Murth does NOT want that win to hjappen oin a Republican watch. Thats the meat of it.

I am impressed with your planning. Our church sadly would not think of it. Although I have been known to speak up at business meetings about many subjects. This might be the time to speak out. I have never thought of myself as an alarmist, but our current world leaves one to speculate and have a plan. Bless your pastor and church members for facing facts and acting accordingly.
