Giuliani Hires War Room Director
National Journal ^ | 2/2/07

Posted on 02/02/2007 6:57:37 AM PST by areafiftyone

Ex-NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani is adding a war room director to his campaign staff. Tom O'Brien was the dep. research director at the NRCC in the '02 cycle, part of a team that the Hotline said at the time "ran circles" around Democrats. Most recently, O'Brian was the dep. comm. dir. of the MTA in NY. O'Brien took a law degree from Fordham and has taught American history.

...I really do have some scathing stuff on Hunter but it will remain in my private archives. I had this really funny one of the Hunter Finance Committee Lemonade Stand....

Jim, I know you KNOW your stuff... If you know anything on Duncan, this is the time to bring it out... We don't want surprises later on. Anything is possible with politicians... Remember Duke Cunningham? A HERO is there ever was one, and look what happened. I just hope Duncan chose the right path. He is not a SAINT I am sure... "Even I" am not one either - LOL.

If there is ANY DIRT on him... Let it come out NOW! So don't be shy (kidding), let it rip my friend.

I like my candidates to be forthcoming from the git go. Sounds like Guiliani could be lacking in that department.

We see this kind of thing all the time among the Purists here. It is if winning is a phobia of theirs. But their numbers in the general electorate are so tiny they can and will be ignored.

Hey, I like Hunter but that doesn't make me treat a joke as serious political analysis or strategy.

We see this kind of thing all the time among the Purists here. It is if winning is a phobia of theirs.

It is akin to a mental problem. They have grand ideas and an uncompromising posture, but by insuring they never actually win, they never put themselves in a position to actually perform. So they get to have the ideas but no responsibility to actually get things done.

It's the best of everything: the moral highground (in their own minds), and no risk of falling on their ass when the time comes to realize their agenda. For a small person, it doesn't get any better.

Duncan Hunter came to speak on behalf of my Senate candidate in 2000 and for that type of decent personal loyalty (the two were congressmen working together during the Clinton impeachment) I salute him and wish him well.

I also wish the best to Rudy Giuliani, whose hour to face Medusa Chappaqua may be at hand, and whose victory would be a proposition devoutly to be wished.

Let our best warrior lead on to victory.

There is always hope, and we will find that common ground when it comes down to it... of that I am sure.

AWESOME! This guy is the best! If he had stayed at NRCC we might not have had such losses in 2006! The hires in the Rudy campaign just keep getting better and better! He is in it for the long haul and we are going to win in 2008.

I like the sound of President Giuliani!

I have to believe Giuliani would have used proper punctuation, unlike whoever made this pic.

Your political philosophy is very French-like.
