A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997. Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.
A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day was introduced on June 24, 2002. It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.
On Mondays please visit us to see photos of A FEW OF FR'S VETERANS AND ACTIVE MILITARY
If you have a suggestion, or an idea, or if there's a FReeper you would like to see featured, please drop one of us a note in FR mail.
We're having fun and hope you are!

The Mayor posted this link below for us on this past Friday's thread. It is so very special, I thought, if anyone missed his post, they could enjoy seeing this today.
Video Clip ~ Akiane
Akiane was born on July 9, 1994, in Mount Morris, Illinois, to the atheistic stay-at-home Lithuanian homemaker mother. Akiane is an artistic child prodigy, artist and poet. She started drawing at age4 and painting at age 6. Akiane says her inspiration comes from above.
I want my art to draw people's attention to God, I want my poetry to keep people's attention to God.- Akiane
When young Akiane's special gift was discovered, not much time passed before the humble 10-year-old was featured on Oprah, CNN, and other national media programs. Akiane began working in pastels when she was 5, and completed her first painting at 7.
"I wake up after I have had many dreams. I wake up and I pray, and then I see visions and I explain all those to my mom, and I say, 'This is what I want to paint.' And my mom says, 'I'll give you a canvass so you can paint it.'"From her dreams Akiane began to compose what she calls the "Jesus" paintings, which took her more than 75 hours to complete. She has so far painted two oils of Jesus. She calls the first one "The Prince of Peace," and the second is titled "Forgive Them, Father."
When asked how she knows that it's God who is speaking to her, she replies, "Because I can hear His voice. His voice is quiet and beautiful." Although she was 3 at the time, she'll always remember God's first message to her. "He said, 'You have to do this, and I'll help you.' He said, 'Now you can help people.' I said, 'Yes, I will.' But I said it in different words in my mind. I speak through my mind to Him."
Here are a few links for more information and to view Akiane's work.
This link takes you to the website which has Akiane's art work and when viewing the pictures in the gallery, you can read her poems. Akiane.com

Whoopie....an all together formatted prayer list!
LOL
I tried to redo mine a few weeks ago & ended up with a really big mess..
so back to the old, at least for now
Cali still hanging in & even ate a little this am (very little)
Cold is finally giving me the wonderful yellow (infection) discharge & seems to be going to my lungs.. Funny I think I have only had that happen once or twice in my life.. But the burning sensation in the lungs makes me think that is the case.
Heavy snow coming down..but meeting friend John for dog walk..My dogs need a good workout. They have had MINOR ones the past few days..(about an hour each day).. with his dogs they REALLY get a workout! Much more heavy running, competition for sticks, territorial dog "stuff"
Now, also I did send this out in email & many of you might have received it, but thought it was fascinating enough to post here..
@@@
Look at the first picture below and you can see where this guy broke through the guard
rail and left the road, traveling from right to left. He flipped across the end of the culvert
and landed on the left side of it.
Look at the second picture and see how lucky he was.

WOAH! He sure had a Guardian Angel.
I just finally fixed my email. :)
Please try to get to Dr., Dolly. I know it's hectic but you more than likely need antibiotics. I know you don't want to leave the house today though. Hug
