I'm angry. I'm angry at the 'antiwar' protesters who heaped abuse on our troops. And I'm angry at the people who couldn't be bothered to stand up for our troops yesterday.
Tens of thousands of anti-American leftists and their dupes marched on our nation's capital calling for America's defeat in the war on terror in Iraq.
Only about forty people could be bothered to turn out in support of America's victory in Iraq. Among those forty was a civilian POW held by the North Vietnamese communists and several Iraq war veterans--including wounded warriors who left the hospital to stand up for their brothers in arms on the home front.
Why did former POW Mike Benge and Iraq vet Joshua Sparling only find a few dozen people willing to stand with them? Why, as the anti-American left is heading toward repeating their victory in Vietnam, are so many people sitting on their asses and doing nothing to stop them?
Why, when Joshua Sparling was spat on, cursed at and threatened by 'peace marchers', were there so few people there to defend his honor?
Why was Jane Fonda allowed to desecrate the Navy Memorial and only face token opposition?
Why did Mike Benge see thousands more people showing up to cheer Jane Fonda than there were to denounce her?
Those who were there to support these patriots will be posting their observations and photos on this thread. I've said my piece.
Yeah well, rallying is one thing.
But to think that your support is gonna get equal representation in the mainstream media is folly.
Go, if your heart feels strongly. But go and share your ideas with the people around you if you hope for a continuation of that great experiment that is and was the United States of America.

Well I do go farther every summer, and If I were in KY when one of these rallies came up, I just might swing over to DC on the way home. But, yeah it's quite a way!

I am sorry to hear that! As liberal an area as this is, there are a few like that here, mostly of the commys live closer to Boston, and Hartford. Mostly liberals here, who wouldn't do that, but don't support our troops either.

There were at least two different people in the leftist crowd who threatened to shoot Josh - I videotaped those incidents. I'm sure I missed alot more, because I was only one person and couldn't be everywhere to catch all of the lame leftist threats and curses. I have a job, so you will have to wait a couple of days to see it.
If you don't believe me, ask BufordP, GunsareOK, Kristinn, Justanobody or Doctor Raoul. They all watched the video last night. They also watched the leftists call the soldiers killers, among other disgusting things.
And I consider myself quite capable of decent and civil disussion.

This is going to sound lame, but it is true. Most of us - those who support our President, and our troops - have jobs. We have families to feed, bills to pay, and as much as we would LOVE to face down those who disgrace the word 'American' we cannot afford to just drop everything and run the country to counter their protests, and marches.
The few such rallys held in the Mobile area, I attend when I can, and pray for those who do attend when I can't.
However, God grant me the Lotto jackpot and I'll be at every rally protesting their peace march with screaming neon colors on.
The people who rally and march for our Troops, God bless you, those who protest our Troops, well, God knows who you are.
Like I said, alot of it is simple economics. I can understand your anger, but think how we who have no choice but to work feel.
We feel as if we let our Troops down, that we fail them, and that weighs heavy on each and every one of us, every minute of the day.

Now if EVER there was one justifiable reason for ANY hate crime legislation, that and the threat to shoot Josh, should be it! And it should be the ONLY one ever enacted.

Thanks for sending that. I'll bet it disappears quickly, but thanks to people like you who monitor their sites, we know what they are doing. It isn't surprising that they sell seats, hey they have to make money somehow. I just want to know where the buses come from.
I saw some pics on a site, and they are both disgusting and frightening! That they would dare to call the Administration a "regime" is outrageous. On Friday night, the Neighbors For Peace and Justice (a branch of the UPJ) had their usual signs like, "Not My Dictator", and "War is Terrorism". So in their minds the troops are terrorists! I keep telling them that if GW were a dictator, they'd all be in prison!

40 against 25,000 is rough - 2,000 proud, loud and angry voices against 25,000 is a much more formidable force.
