Have you ever actually talked to those folks? I would be surprised if you did, most of them I have talked with simply have become emotional basket cases who hate America, free enterprise, and anything else that has any goodness left.

And I consider myself quite capable of decent and civil disussion.

No I don't know all my neighbors. I live in a very small town. Being the NE, people aren't real friendly or neighborly, not like it is in the south. In nearby cities, yes there are quite a few, I have seen them on the news, the career victims, etc. I try NOT to talk to them. Any I do know, resent the communists and socialist taking over their rallies, such as the stars and ANSWR, etc. Some are actually closer to conservatives than they realize. They still think they are Democrats though.
