"The RNC has been given a wake-up-call"
No. The American soldier was given a knife in the back from Conservatives who have such tunnel vision the 9-11 and "the war" became an afterthought to holding true to their "principles".
Please explain to me when it became a Conservative principle to make winning a war secondary to a so-called "wake-up-call".
I would much rather see Republicans with a large enough majority in both Houses of Congress to avoid even the afterthought of defunding the war or passing resolutions to destroy the American soldier.
The stay at home selfish so-called Conservative ought to be ashamed of themself for their lack of motivation in 2006.
Then again. The selfish have the luxury of only caring about themself. Pretend caring about the troops is good enough and Jane Fonda welcomes the non-voting Conservative every day.

In the meantime, we have the new Congress and the President falling all over themselves to see how fast they can legitimate the 20 million illegal immigrants stealing jobs, healthcare and eduation from Americans (particularly poor Americans); the only thing that stopped that happening so far was a Republican HOR, which is now gone to the left wingers.
Congress is already moving to dismantle missile defense and other military programs. They have the committee chairs and forget them EVER confirming anybody like Alito or Roberts in the next two years.
They can do a lot of damage in two years. And they now have the bully pulpit and are using it far better than our inarticulate Commander in Chief.
Were Republicans spending too much on pork and new entitlements? Damned right they were, with the President issuing only one veto in six years. How is that going to change now? It will only be worse, but now we also have the added threat to cut off funding for WINNING in Iraq, giving comfort to our enemies with their nonbinding resolutions and making the job even harder.
So thank you for giving them that opportunity and thanks for making 2008 an even steeper uphill climb than it already would have been.

I find it hard to believe she can function each day knowing how many millions of people hate her.
Like most leftists, she simply doesn't have a conscience. Most psychopaths don't.

So thank you for giving them that opportunity and thanks for making 2008 an even steeper uphill climb than it already would have been. ...and hank you for reading the first sentence of my post.
I disagree. I think the uphill climb to 2008 is going to be infinitely easier than it would've been.
The war will not be unfunded. If they were in a position to do that, they wouldn't have put forth this non-binding resolution of theirs. It was a trial balloon, and it's failing-- there's already a growing back-lash, in spite of the best efforts of the media.
The Alito/Roberts thing is definitely a problem. But it's the same problem it has been for the past six years when we did have a "majority".
The only difference between then and now is that our new-found minority in Congress and the Senate might give the RNC their balls back. Maybe, just maybe, they'll be in a better, unaccountable position to fight harder.
In any event, Pilosi has two years to screw up the Dem majority, and I have every confidence in her.

FEED JANE FONDA TO THE WHALES?

Whales have far better tastes and are far more supportive of life in general than FonDUH.
Besides, that would be terminal ocean pollution as well as cruelty to animals.

Today on the radio, I heard that only 34% of Republicans voted for Republicans in the last mid-term election, while 90% of Democrats voted for Democrats.

If she had been arrested, prosecuted, convicted and sent to jail (where she belongs), we wouldn't be looking at her again. A country that gives cameras and microphones to traitors on a daily basis has begun the countdown to it's own destruction.
