A young disabled man who receives care for his life-limiting illness at a hospice run by a nun spoke yesterday of his decision to use a prostitute to experience sex before he dies.
Sister Frances Dominica gave her support to 22-year-old Nick Wallis, who was born with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Sufferers usually die by their thirties.
Mr Wallis told staff at the Douglas House hospice in Oxford that he wanted to experience sexual intercourse. He explained that he had hoped to form an intimate and loving relationship with a woman, but his disability had acted as a barrier.
He told The Daily Telegraph: "It was a decision two years in the making and I discussed it with my carers and my parents. Telling my mother and father was the hardest part, but in the end they gave me their support.

He's 22 now and the article says that people who have what he has usually die in their 30s. They might have a fairly long-term customer.

What it boils down to for me on a larger scale is I understand these are my needs and I accept them.
It's a rejection of all the minutaeu and BS in the world, what other people think about you, what is current and hip at the time, etc. I understand what is important, not just my 4 "animalistic" words. Replace the sex with love and you'll have a better understanding, it's just that you will always need sex and not always find love. I can accept sex without love because I do submit my biological needs, it doesn't make me a bad guy and most of my sex has included love.
It does not stop me from being kind to strangers, children and animals. I can function just as well at a plumbers convention as I can in a tuxedo on a yacht, but I'm all MAN all the time, and better for it.
This is really sad. I wish he could experience love and sex instead of just sex ... but I have sympathy for him.
