CLEVELAND -- Two election workers were convicted Wednesday of rigging a recount of the 2004 presidential election to avoid a more thorough review in Ohio's most populous county.
Jacqueline Maiden, elections coordinator of the Cuyahoga County Elections Board, and ballot manager Kathleen Dreamer each were convicted of a felony count of negligent misconduct of an elections employee. They also were convicted of one misdemeanor count each of failure of elections employees to perform their duty.
Prosecutors accused Maiden and Dreamer of secretly reviewing preselected ballots before a public recount on Dec. 16, 2004. They worked behind closed doors for three days to pick ballots they knew would not cause discrepancies when checked by hand, prosecutors said.

I don't see any Party affiliation.
They're not corrupt... they're just fixing votes for Americans who should have voted Dem but forgot to...
Neither do I, and I am curious. Motive?
Motive?
Laziness.
Three days of hand-picking ballots to recount is laziness? On what planet, may I ask?
Whenever party affiliation is not mentioned in a political-type story, especially one that involves a scandal, you will 99% of the time be correct if you assume the person in question is a Democrat.
One tidbit in the story gives a big clue as to where they stand: "Kerry gained 17 votes and Bush lost six in the county's recount."
It is a shame but I must agree.
Inquiring minds would like to know! Well, OK - curious minds!
I would be willing to bet it is 99.99% Dem when you are talking cherry picking ballots.
Not to worry. Hillary 'll pardon them!
my guess if this was Cuyahoga County, home of Cleveland, these were Dimbulbs...not repubbies....
It's Cleveland, home of Denny the Dwarf and Mary Rose Oakar, the check kiting queen. Of course they're dems!
In Cuyahoga County, a Democratic stronghold where about 600,000 ballots were cast, the recount did not have much effect on the results. Kerry gained 17 votes and Bush lost six.
Of course, the fact that each of them is ugly as week old road kill is another major clue.
It sounds like they tried to cover something up to me...
I've tried to find a reference in a google search but none turned up.
In Ohio party affiliation is determined by primary voting.
According to this site:
Can I check my voter information online?
Yes. You may check your voter information at www.sos.state.oh.us. If you perform a Voter Information search and the information you registered is returned, then your voter registration form has been processed by your county board of elections. If your information is not returned in the search, you may want to contact your county board of elections to check on the status of your registration. You may also be able to check through your county board of elections Web site, although not all county boards have a link to the registration files.
Okay, I found the search engine. Without reposting address specifics, I still can't get it to work.
I can't get it to accept 98th street as 98, 98th, or ninety-eighth. I'd think the full zip code should be enough. But street name is a required field.
"Do not include Street Direction(N.,W.,SE.,etc) or Street Type(St.,Ave.,Ln.etc)"

Rabid racial supremacists judging by the picture. They have to be Republicans.
