They did find a few extra votes for Kerry, but not enough.

Maiden, who was the elections board's third-highest ranking employee, faces six counts of misconduct over how ballots were reviewed in Cuyahoga County in the 2004 presidential election. Grier, manager of the board's ballot department, and Kathleen Dreamer, an assistant manager, face the same charges. (AP Photo/Tony Dejak)

Three days of hand-picking ballots to recount is laziness? On what planet, may I ask?

I don't see any Party affiliationWhenever party affiliation is not mentioned in a political-type story, especially one that involves a scandal, you will 99% of the time be correct if you assume the person in question is a Democrat.
One tidbit in the story gives a big clue as to where they stand: "Kerry gained 17 votes and Bush lost six in the county's recount."
To: SpringheelJack
It is a shame but I must agree.

OK Ohioians....are these girls Democrats or do they just look that way. And were they convicted of trying to rig the Demo vote up, or fake a rig of Repub. vote up to try to get the entire Ohio vote thrown into question.
Inquiring minds would like to know! Well, OK - curious minds!

I would be willing to bet it is 99.99% Dem when you are talking cherry picking ballots.

It's Cleveland, home of Denny the Dwarf and Mary Rose Oakar, the check kiting queen. Of course they're dems!

OK Ohioians....are these girls Democrats or do they just look that way.In Cuyahoga County, a Democratic stronghold where about 600,000 ballots were cast, the recount did not have much effect on the results. Kerry gained 17 votes and Bush lost six.

Cuyahoga County? The home of Dennis the Menace Kucinich? There is no way in hell that these are anything but hard core democrat party apparachiks. It is astounding they were caught and charged, much less convicted, for doing things the way democrats have done them since New York Tammany Hall days.
Of course, the fact that each of them is ugly as week old road kill is another major clue.

I've tried to find a reference in a google search but none turned up.
In Ohio party affiliation is determined by primary voting.
According to this site:
Can I check my voter information online?
Yes. You may check your voter information at www.sos.state.oh.us. If you perform a Voter Information search and the information you registered is returned, then your voter registration form has been processed by your county board of elections. If your information is not returned in the search, you may want to contact your county board of elections to check on the status of your registration. You may also be able to check through your county board of elections Web site, although not all county boards have a link to the registration files.
I couldn't find them but I couldn't even find the proper line to search on.

Okay, I found the search engine. Without reposting address specifics, I still can't get it to work.
I can't get it to accept 98th street as 98, 98th, or ninety-eighth. I'd think the full zip code should be enough. But street name is a required field.
"Do not include Street Direction(N.,W.,SE.,etc) or Street Type(St.,Ave.,Ln.etc)"
