The last election told us many things. One thing that stands out above all others is that the number of people who actually understand what is going on in our country today is frighteningly small.
A small group who get it
Just half of Americans are registered to vote, so right off, we know that half of America doesnt care what happens to itself or the rest of us. They live in a different world. You know who they are so it is not necessary to expand on this point.
Of those who are registered, on a good Election Day, sixty percent vote. That means that only thirty percent of Americans are heard, and even a large percentage of them are ill informed or willfully blinding themselves, even as they cast their ballots.
Of this thirty percent, about fifty percent vote Democrat and by doing so show us they do not understand that the Democrats are a party bent on surrendering our security to our terrorist enemies. To be sure not all who vote Democrat want this result, most of the others vote Democrat because they want socialism, gay marriage and dumbed down schools and/or open borders.
That leaves only fifteen percent, or about 1 in 7, of Americans who understand that we are the only hope our nation has.
This bares repeating: Only about 1 in 7 Americans seems to understand the true murderous intentions of our enemies and/or the destructive nature of socialism.
Nevertheless, in the last election, a certain percentage of Americas 1 in 7 voters, people who should know better, voted in a way that showed they were willing put their own demands for single issue purity over the safety of America. This is the reality of what these voters have brought about by their foolish demands that politicians suddenly toe their line totally or be thrown under a bus along with our nation.
The ill informed nitwits that vote Democrat in a knee jerk fashion, the socialists who, though born here, hate America they are what they are. They must be fought at the ballot box every two years. They are almost like evil little children who will be what they will be, but the, Im staying home because Im so much more conservative than you, so much smarter than you.. 1 in 7 voters must be held to a higher standard. These voters can not claim ignorance. They willfully handed the reigns of power and responsibility for Americas safety over to the Democrats. There were just enough of these willfully blind single issue purity voters to hand the Democrats 16 of their 36 victories; this figure being derived from the fact that for the want of just 63,000 more votes spread across these races, America would not now be in the danger she is in.
These people should have known better. They took their own narrow agendas with them on Election Day. They played make believe with Americas future and safety. The bought into the Democrat controlled medias lies that we cant win the war, the economy is tanking, and open borders would somehow be less threatening if only the Democrats controlled both Houses.
Now these 1 in 7 voters are trying to explain what they did by wringing their hands and complaining about not wanting to vote for the lesser of two evils. Apparently it does not occur to this group that the choices we have are really just the choices we have. They dont understand that failing to vote for the lesser of two evils guarantees that you will get the greater of two evils.
These people fancy themselves as so much smarter and so much more conservative than the rest of the 1 in 7. They are nothing more than conservative useful idiots.
They, and unfortunately us, now have to live with the disastrous consequences of their self delusions that they would somehow get from a Democrat Congress what they couldn't get from a Republican congress, but that would be the only difference. We will all now have to deal with Democrats who will be as disappointing on some issues, but terrifying on other issues, lots of other issues.
These are a series of headlines. This piece is not written to anyone who needs to have them explained. It is written to the conservative useful idiots among us who have joined the fools and socialists to teach someone a lesson. Heres the first weeks lessons.

Great post.
Do you write that stuff with a straight face?
It's that bad?
People like her are conservatives. People like you are intolerant losers, at best, phony fifth columnists, at worst.
Pardon me, but once again you prove yourself a liar. You spent 20 hours a day on FR. Or, perhaps, was the division you desired what you call your 'work'.
Still here trolling I see.
That's supposed to be trenchant irony, right?
Why should one be hospitable toward fifth columnist ilk?
t isn't an "article." It's a vanity, written for the sole purpose of trashing conservatives fringe whackjobs.
Your posting history here makes it clear that you think all conservatives are "fringe whackjobs."
Ah, because (hypothetically) he won the primary? (He won't have my primary vote)
You're still lyin'. Even in this post I supported Roses as a conservative. Its the ilk who try to limit 'real conservatives' that are the phonies.
I agree the above voters share in the blame for the Republican losses. I was NOT one of them. But there is plenty of blame to go around.
Furthermore, publically denigrating them will not bring them back into the fold.
1) The congressional districts in this country are so heavy gerrymandered to automatically be Republican or Democrat, that most of us here have no say in who our Congressman will be. Only about 50 or so districts in America are actually "competitive", those of us in the other 380 or so have the election predetermined. My district is a small suburban area gerrymandered into a ultra-RAT part of the south side of Chicago. The district is about 65% black and about 75% Democrat. I know the Republican candidate and he happens to be a jerk and a lousy campaigner (having previously volunteered on his campaign for state Rep.) Nevertheless, his record is very conservative and he'd be infinitely preferable to Congressman Bobby "black panther" Rush. So I held my nose and voted for the Republican. Did it make a difference nationally? Of course not. The district's been safe RAT since the 20s and that's not going to change anytime soon.
2) As was previously pointed out, this is not a 50%GOP-50%Dem country, but a 40%conservative-20%independant-40%liberal country. I'd be willing to be that FAR more self-proclaimed "independent" swing-voters switched from GOP to Dem this time around than self-proclaimed Republicans who "stayed home" or "voted Democrat to teach the GOP a lesson". And of the self-proclaimed Republicans, I'd be willing to bet far more Republicans who "voted Dem to teach the GOP a lesson" were RINOs than conservatives. RINO Senator Linc Chafee was basically saying the GOP deserved to lose for supporting Bush, blah blah blah. Many times, conservatives will be heavily pressured to back RINOs in November (notice all the conservatives who held their nose for Kean in NJ), but when the situation is reversed, RINOs will never support a conservative nominee (notice all the open border Jim Kolbe fans, including Kolbe himself, who openly praised the Dems prospects and attacked their own party's nominee once a conservative won the primary)
3) If any self-proclaimed conservatives on this board are to blame for the RAT takeover, it's those who supported lousy candidates in the primary, included RINOs and even "conservative" Democrats, because they assumed they were more "electable". For instance, we had "electable" Judy Baar Topinka shoved down our throats in Illinois by the GOP establishment because she was the only statewide official and could therefore "beat Blago". But in November, she got a pathetic 39% and Governor Blagojevich disposed of her easily by simply reminding voters she was the best friend of the (now convicted) RINO former Governor George Ryan. Blago got 49%, so all Judy had to do to win was simply capture all the "anti-Blago" votes. But no, Judy Baar Topinka got LESS votes statewide than Alan Keyes, who she had publicly stabbed in the back 2 years ago and called him a "disaster". She got a whooping 1% more votes than our 2002 Senate candidate, Jim Durkin, who UNLIKE her had NO money and ZERO support from the state party. Jim Durkin was deemed "unelectable" because he was solidly conservative on 90% of the issues, like pro-life. He got 38% with no funding. She got 39% with the entire GOP establishment raising zillions for her. Then there's the kamikaze conservatives on this board who INSISTED on nominating Katherine Harris in Florida, and ignored reality no matter how badly she was trailing against Nelson. Why? They told us she was entitled to a U.S. Senate nomination for doing her job as SOS and "giving Florida to Bush in the face of massive Democrat protests". If that's true, then every member of the electoral college deserves to be nominated for the Senate, too. C'mon. Her main opponent in the primary was just as conservative, but they ridiculed him and accused anyone who opposed Queen Katherine in the primary of "Being for Nelson", as if the primary election was a coronation. Any how about the "Joe Lieberman is our buddy" crowd on FR? The guy votes conservative 10% of the time, and they're falling on their knees to worship him and do everything in their power to help "him" because he voted the "right way" on Iraq. I know at least four freepers who gloated that they sent ol' funds from out of state. Imagine if they had INSTEAD spent that money on Senators Allen, Talent, or Burns, each of whom lost by less than 1%. If the Joe Lieberman fan club had abandoned him and spent all their time and money helping our guys, we might have won those races. They didn't "stay home", they voted for "independent" DEMOCRAT Lieberman and they just ensured a total Dem sweep of Conn. on the national level.
So I'd say those three factors are far more to blame for Speaker Pelosi and Majority Leader Reid than the fact I voted Republican in 90% of the races, including the national offices, but refused to vote for RINO Judy Baar Topinka for Governor. And if you decide to post a record of all the bad stuff Blagojevich does in his 2nd term, I will simply point out that backstabbing RINO Judy Baar has the exact same stance and would have done the same thing in the Governor's mansion.
"For God's sake, the election was 2 months ago. Quit whining about it and just figure out where to go from here."
I think his point is that we need to make sure this situation does not repeat itself. We have to learn from our mistakes.
It'll be difficult, but it can be done.
LOL! I'm embarrassed for him most days. Nice guy. Passionate guy. Not the best at debate.
Democrats are a party bent on surrendering our security to our terrorist enemies.

Democrats are Marxists. Call them what they are!
Scratch a liberal and under their thin skin is a collectivist socialist. Dig a little deeper and you will find the Marxist fuel rods that energize them.
