I wish for them many more on this Earth, if that is part of God's Plan. I know that feeling well. My prayers for your dad. My only advice to you, is what was given to me, when we found out my dear daddy was terminal. Do not let ANYTHING go unsaid. I would sit by his bed, and tell him over and over again how much I loved him, what a great dad he had been, and after he could hear me no more, begged him not to leave me. Selfish I know, as he is in a much better place now.
Hopefully, your dad will overcome this crisis, my Mom now is going through something similar. Strength be with you my friend, and to your entire family.

You are all in my prayers. I lost my dad (a WWII Normandy Vet) a little more than a year ago. He had been through so many health issues the last few years of his life that even though I did not want to lose him so soon, it was still a relief for me to see him finally at peace. It is difficult I know and I too didn't know what to pray for except God's will be done. God be with all of you.

Holy Lord,
Thank You for the blessing of having a loving earthly father. We confess that You have enriched MKJ's life through the strong and nurturing character of this patriot who served his country and his family. We are grateful that a wonderful appreciation has been established in this family and that in spite of health problems, this father knows that he is loved and cared for by his wife and children. Now, Father, we ask that according to Your will, You allow him yet a little more time on this earth, for we know that Your hand can heal instantly or gradually as You direct. We pray that by Your grace You would allow him to tarry just a little, granting him renewal and strength for the additional time. Lord, You are sovereign, and there is nothing too difficult for You. We exalt Your Holy Name and commit this family to You, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
