In 45 months of war we lost 3,000 brave heroes, by far, far, and far, it is an extremely low number of casualties based on the duration of the war and puting thing in persepctibe to other long wars.

As usual, the AP puts out a dishonest article due to its total lack of context. More than 3,000 Americans died before noon on D-Day, and on the first day of many battles in WW II, I, and even the Civil War.

If any of those readily available facts had been included, the subtext of this biased story would have been destroyed. The subtext was, of course, "Ain't the war terrible, because such an incredible number of Americans have died." It's not an incredible number. It is just a dishonest AP article, as usual.
