BAGHDAD, Iraq - The death of a Texas soldier, announced Sunday by the Pentagon, raised the number of U.S. military deaths in Iraq to at least 3,000 since the war began, according to an Associated Press count.
Spc. Dustin R. Donica, 22, of Spring, Texas, was killed Thursday by small arms fire in Baghdad, the Defense Department said.
How about getting a discussion on something positive for a change? There have been occasions for those, but somehow this poster doesn't have the same zeal to post those, or spins it like a maytag as negative news.
If any of those readily available facts had been included, the subtext of this biased story would have been destroyed. The subtext was, of course, "Ain't the war terrible, because such an incredible number of Americans have died." It's not an incredible number. It is just a dishonest AP article, as usual.

The remarks were yours, they were not taken out of context, and they weren't "dragged onto this thread to impugn" your credibility since your credibility is pretty well shot already.
No, because it's only been 10 or 15 minutes, and because people here are obviously trying to bait him into getting banned. If you or anyone else so strongly objected to his statement in the "Saddam's Hanging - Uncut" thread, why didn't you reply to it there? All it earned were two kudos and nary a dissenting murmur.
Positive, negative. Reality based discussion is always welcomed; there are plenty of positives that can be pointed to on this forum.
Because this is the thread he posted that caught my attention and because this is the thread where someone asked about his posting history which lead me to take a look at his other posts.
I really don't care to get into a discussion with someone like him, but if he wants to defend himself, let him do it here. Why should I go to him? He can come to me if he so chooses.
It looks like he really doesn't want to discuss it. This is not baiting. He made the offensive post long before I came here and the mods are already aware of him. Looks to me like if he doesn't want to get banned, he would at least try to clarify his position. Best I can tell, it's not looking too good for him left as is.
Terrific! They can now super-impose New Year's Eve revelers in Times Square with MSM voice overs, alternating between Photoshopped pictures of people demonstrating outside of the White House calling for President Bush's head on a platter!
Gee. I should have been a Journalist! I certainly have the imagination to be one! *Smirk*
If that's really what they're doing right now, I wish it were corkscrews. Do any old-timers here recall how long after Pearl Harbor we lost our three thousandth man?
That's precisely the point. So let's have a discussion on why some posters only like to post negative news about Iraq, shall we? Or is that off limits?
hahaha...murrymom?
Funny how the cowardly LEFTIES never bleat about the 30,000 plus killed at Anzio in only three MONTHS !!!
Or the 58900 killed in Vietnam.
I'm looking for that headline that says "WWII DEATH TOLL SURPASSES THE NUMBER KILLED AT PEARL HARBOR!"
I think you mean negative news about Iraq, and negative news about the President, don't you?

Post a picture or video of his dead, vacant stare. Until
then, it is rumor and speculation. Show me.

I think they should be charged with treason
Shame on you! You're accurately quoting him! ;)
A lot of our troops view this site. It's one of the most pro-Troops pro-American sites available. Anyone who understands that would not be breathless to post death score cards.
