I wonder if the British realize they are looking at their own future when they see this fully veiled woman.

I can't wait to see Mrs. Bucket ('Boo-kay') deliver the alternative Ramadan message. :-)

Damned politically correct idiots will be the death of us all.

"I don't wear the niqab to separate myself from society. I want to be part of this society -- this is where I choose to live. I hope that society is more accepting of my personal choice. It's not about separation."

Nonsensical on its face. They sure brainwashed her thoroughly! As for Channel 4, why broadcast this tripe?

To hear the Islamofascists talk is like reading the "Big Brother" messages in "1984" or the slogans from the pigs in "Animal Farm".

Which is a lot like hearing a leftist talk.....

Muslims never received this deference until they started murdering people in large numbers in the west, so do they now receive this attention because they are respected or because they are feared? This just tells the terrorist that terror is indeed working and is giving Muslims a new voice in the west.

I don't care if it's Christmas.

I despise the Muslims, Islamofascists and couldn't care less if every single one on the planet dropped dead right now.

Good riddance to bad rubbish. I hope they all die.

Can you tell if this is Britain or some third world Islamic Hellhole ? It's one thing to feel guilty about its imperialist past, but letting this happen in the name of guilt ?

Since I've started covering I feel much more liberated

Your response to this article was "NONSENSE". May I be a little bolder? It's BULLSHIT.

No woman wants to be covered head to toe. I wonder how much they pay these women to promote this propaganda.

These women in most cases are FORCED to wear that burqa.

You know, when I tell American women this factoid they almost always look askance. American women view the burqa as a quint religious tradition, sort of like the sari on Indian women.

What most Oprah-oriented American women DON'T realize is that the burqa is mandatory in many Muslim countries.

Just get this fact out there and right there you'll have every American woman on your side.

It's the sort of "propaganda" that America doesn't do.

But it really should.

"We are seen as oppressed. Since I've started covering I feel much more liberated, which I know a lot of people possibly won't be able to understand," she said."

What a load of crap. They sure brainwashed this one. Perhaps she should have tried living in Afghanistan and see what happens if she tried to NOT wear her vail. Do any of these converts ever read the koran, or are they just told what it (doesn't) say like most other brainwashed muslims? She feels more "liberated" by wearing a symbol of opression. Go figure. Muslim women just love wearing a head to toe burka when its 120 degrees out, and I'm sure they feel much better for that beating their husbands give them should they dare not wear it. I'm sure a dumpy looking liberal western woman might feel 'better' by just throwing on a head to toe burka. She wouldn't have to shave that beard, squeeze those zits, wash her greasy rats nest called hair, shave legs or any other repetitive tasks like that.
Bathing is not nessesary with Burka's either, rathr than wasting water every day taking a shower, the burka has a built in alarm systyem that tells the wearer when they have to bathe; when they start choking on their own stink.

This woman, and the queen of all people, have a lot of nerve interupting our Christmas day, just to shovel B.S> about an evil, murderous blood cult who so called prophet was nothing but a thieving murderer and pedophile down our throats.

I think many if not most people understand.

As soon as Muslim men are forced to cover up their bearded faces with veils, and if that makes them feel "more liberated," I may begin to understand this whole "liberation-through-covering-up" thing. Until then, I'll stick with the tried-and-true "liberation-through-wearing-as-less-as-possible" technique. Not to mention the time-tested "liberation-through-marrying-whoever-I-want" and "liberation-through-not-being-honor-killed" methods.

"We are seen as oppressed. Since I've started covering I feel much more liberated, which I know a lot of people possibly won't be able to understand," she said.

Of course they will not understand it, because it is absurd nonsense, transplanted from an alien culture, and rammed down the throats of the larger society.

Why do people not take me seriously when I wear a clown suit?

Why are people hostile at Bar Mitzvas when I show up in my SS uniform?

Why are people so judgemental when I go to Communion naked?

To fail to be "understood" when wearing the costume of people who kill us is something that is so intuitively obvious,it does not even deserve this response.

Should read, "Since I've started covering, and no longer have to wear underwear, I feel much more liberated."

A bank robber wearing a mask probably feels pretty liberated too. That said, what she forgets is that she has a choice. Having a choice is what makes one feel liberated. It is, in fact, the earmark of liberation. Sinead O'Connor felt liberated when she shaved her head. But then, no one held her down and did it to her.
