Al Franken couldn't resist spouting anti-war rhetoric during a scheduled USO tour at Camp Victory, Iraq.

"I'm not surprised that Franken would visit troops fighting in Iraq. I'm only surprised he'd visit the ones on OUR side."
Now that is the posting of the day! Well done and worth repeating!

I'll need confirmation before I believe this. Even for Franken this is a stretch. Tongue-tied is there at Camp Victory.
The word of one of our armed forces is good enough for me. It's a heck of a lot more reliable than the trash the media puts out about Iraq.

I don't doubt franken said this what I do doubt is franken going to IraqAl Franken goes to entertain the Iraqi troops, while bashing them at home, because he can use the cheer line on his radio program that he cares about the troops in his entertaining activities. His USO visits just serve as a cheer line for him. He cares nothing for the troops.
Read "Pants on Fire" for the explanation of his visits.

Not sure if anyone was recording or even taking pics. "No bags or cameras allowed, weapons required" is the norm. They may have allowed them as there were celebrities.
But this wasn't part of the show or anything, they were just eating so I don't know.

I just emailed this to my son in Basra...is Franken heading down there I wonder?

Franken has always been a jerk who doesn't understand why people don't think he's funny when he insults people
A sign of a typical liberal

Take it as you deem fitting.
And it wasn't *me* that hired this jerk for a USO tour. Whoever did that needs to have his head examined.
To: Delta 21
According to the
Puffington Host the dimbulb is there on a USO tour and it wouldn't surprise me at all if he said those things. You can find the USO at uso.org.

Yeah dammit! Where was my civilian buddy who could have gotten away with a confrontation when I needed her? (j/k - you're taking a well deserved break)
I'm telling you--I almost blew a vessel while he was telling me this. Had to go out and smoke. 4 of 'em!

That article was older than I thought. It said 11-18. When I first read it I thought I saw a 12.

Where was my civilian buddy who could have gotten away with a confrontation when I needed her? Oh, I would have done it, too. I'd have probably been dragged out of that chow hall, but if I had witnessed that, I'd have gone off all over that creep!

Where are those USO phone numbers and e-mail links??
Dunno. But <"www.uso.org"> is the website.

Any commander worth his weight in salt would have had Franken escorted off the base if Franken so much as uttered a syllable negative toward the troops. Agreed. I hope Major Patience told this correctly, 'cuz this could get real big, real fast.
