I received a FRmail tonight from Freeper kayak regarding a health issue that her doctors have discovered. Some of you, apparently, are already aware of this. I DO have her permission to put this thread up. She will not be on here to respond as she's still working and will be starting treatments.
Anyway, from kayak....Several weeks ago as part of my routine annual physical I had a chest x-ray. When it came back showing some suspicious shadows, the doc ordered a CT scan which also showed the shadows. So last week I had a bronchoscopy and got the results on Monday.
I have lung cancer. The good news is that of the 2 kinds I have the least aggressive kind and it can usually be removed surgically. The bad news is that because of the location of the cancer it can't be gotten to surgically without doing damage to parts I need.
So I'm facing a regimen of chemo and radiation probably. Monday I have an appointment with an oncologist to begin planning how we're going to attack this thing.
Please PLEASE pray for kayak!!!
Dear Lord God, our hearts are heavy tonight with this news from kayak. She is a dear lady who loves you with all of her heart. Thank you for giving her so VERY many prayer warriors, thank you for giving her a WONDERFUL husband who has been nothing but 100% supportive of her.
Lord, I pray for a "Logan Miracle". Lord, please heal her body. Please guide the medical personnel who will be helping her through this. Please give her YOUR peace. Peace that passes all understanding.
In Your Name,
Amen!
prayers to you and Godspeed
(((Ladyinred))) Oh my gosh. This is the first I have heard about you.

Thank you for the update, poppyseed.
I know this must be very difficult for your Father and of course you Mom, who is having to realize more and more everyday what changes she will have to adapt to.
Poppy...my prayers are continuing and SO strongly pray for less pain for your Mom....and strength and comfort for your Dad and you all.
I did put a card in the mail today..hopefully, kay will get it by Friday..
Dear God please be extra comforting to this family, as they transition into this most difficult time. Please remove the pain from Kay...so that she may enjoy the time she has with her husband and family.

I lift up your mother and her dear family to the God who made you and loves you all. You are truly cherised of Him, and you are in His Hands.
For healing and for gracem, Father, we lift up this family to You. In their love we see Your Face; in their heartache, we see You upon the Cross. Father, we place them in Your Hands; let us feel Your presence now. In Jesus name I pray it...
I just now read about your problem.

((((poppyseed))))
Prayers and ((hugs)) for all of you. I can imagine the heartache your dear Dad feels, too. May the blanket of His love and comfort cover you all, and bring special pain relief to your dear Mom. God be with you all.
Thank you for posting this update. I have been praying for Kayak, your dad and you and your entire family. It seems that one person doesn’t develop cancer, the entire family develops it. Y’all have my love and support.
You take care of yourself too, poppyseed. Time to be strong and brave for your parents, and keep a stiff upper lip. It sounds like you are doing everything right and I hope your mom is resting comfortably and enjoying every minute with her family in the time remaining to her. She’s obviously raised good children, as you are one of them. My best to you and your family in this difficult time.
Prayers for your family...all of you!
Oh yes, prayers for not only your mother but for your father and the rest of your family. This is his sweetheart that is suffering and so he is suffering too along with the rest of you. Thank you for the update..we know you can’t respond to everyone as much as you would like and you don’t have to. We can pray and we don’t need thanks. Hospice will put your mother more at ease as time goes on...she is in good hands with them. Prayers all around for everyone involved.
It’s essentially no meat, no dairy (except for yogurt), fruit, vegetables (raw), juicing (carrot juice with apple and celery with an occasional part of a beet or cabbage), nuts, seeds, whole grains. It’s essentially a raw diet with some cooked potato or sweet potato, large salads, quite a lot of fresh juice. Get on www.hacres.com. He’s written several books on the subject. I wish you well, dear one. M
