To answer your question directly, he, Alec Baldwin, is a fat assed moron of very dubious acting talent who has been led to believe because some people in the movie business have told him he can act, he is a maven or some kind of authority on things dealing with foreign policy, world affairs, domestic politics, and related subjects.

They lied to him and he lies to himself. He is NOT a particularly talented actor (which he has proven over and over)and certainly not an expert or even equal to any average guy/gal sitting and having their morning breakfast at any greasy thumb in the USA.

Baldwin is a no class Long Islander. A classic full of shit New Yawker, who believes that the place of his residence is a substitute for intellect. He continues to be wrong. On every issue. He is so contaminated by his polluted bias towards things socialist/Democrat, if he were to write in a hosting BLOG that water were wet, I would automatically question his opinion.

Jeanne Kirkpatrick was a lady. An intellect. A force for the preservation and protection of this nation, and the intellectual superior to Baldwin. She was certainly much more of a man than he ever could hope to be.

What I find interesting is that in the 90's, there was a MSM push (a minor one) to disband the CIA. In the context of the Church neutering and after the Guatemala episode, MSM couldn't figure out what a post Cold War CIA was supposed to do. So there were cover stories such as "Is the CIA really necessary?"

And then we had Maxine Waters whipping up ignorant blacks and rabid lefty whites with the bogus "CIA-crack cocaine" allegations about L.A.

And after all that, CIA still carries water for the left.
