It does if you pray to Jerusalem, which is what you are supposed to do - and you sound like a troll!
"Gates admitted in his Senate hearing that Iran is producing many bombs - not just one.
Since it is possible to destroy Israel with just one bomb, the Americans should be asking themselves what Iran needs all those other bombs for. There are senior military sources in the US who have been warning the administration to take into consideration that the day that Iran attacks Israel with a nuclear bomb, 10 cities in the US and Europe are liable to also be attacked with nuclear weapons."
Break out the Maalox and read this: http://www.therant.us/staff/kraft/10242006.htm
"Thirdly, in his testimony in the Senate on Tuesday, Gates casually mentioned that Israel has nuclear weapons. In so doing, he unceremoniously removed four decades of ambiguity over Israel's nuclear status."
Way to go, @sshole! Israel is our only real ally in that part of the world, and the officially deniable existence of Israeli nukes gave various Arab regimes the figleaf necessary to avoid starting up a nuclear weapons program. Now the figleaf is gone. Gates, you schmuck, one simple statement has just created as much instability as Dean Acheson's statement that South Korea wasn't within our defensive perimeter (thereby inviting the Norks to attack the South, which they did...at a cost of a couple million lives over the next 3 years). Idiot!
Glick is correct - Israel is now all alone, at least if Bush follows enough of the Iraq Surrender Group's recommendations. The Israeli public MUST realize, and SOON, that their very existence is at stake...and get rid of their Neville Chamberlain and replace him with an Israeli Churchill. Maybe it is Bibi Netanyahu, maybe not, but anyone outside of the present government's leaders would be a vast improvement.
Oh, and lest I forget: James Baker is the Devil. If I passed by him and he was on fire, I wouldn't pi$$ on him to douse the flames.
Used to be my hope. But if Jews were voting GOP (and pro-Israel) we'd be hearing about it. The thing that truly crosses my eyes (or, used to, I'm well advanced to shrugging) are the Alan Dershowitz types--who talk pro-Israel until it comes time to vote and donate. Then they vote and donate, fundraise and promote-- DNC and anti-Israel.
Did you hear much when the DNC ousted Lieberman?
I happen by circumstance to be reasonably familiar with the Jewish community, geographically speaking, in Charleston, SC. During 2000-04 election cycles I did many "newsmeat" and "fundrace' and :"opensecrets" type searches of zip codes and prominent names because I was hopeful that we'd see some turnaround to the GOP.
Democrat, all Democrat. Hillary, Kerry, John Edwards, DNC, Dem Senate and Congress committees donations, and handsome ones, at that... This was even when Fritz Hollings was spouting off antisemitic stuff. Inez Tennebaum (a methodist married to a Jew) provided Hollings with cover. He's not really an antisemite. What he said doesn't bother Jews at all.
Even the publicly pro-Israel vote anti-Israel, unless you'd have me believe that Jews who donate to the Dems then turn around and secretly vote Republican?
Resentment of conservative Christianity runs deep--witness the hysteria that abounded with Mel Gibson. But I'm seeing the evangelicals start to do a little shrugging of their own. The constant disrespect shown them by the country-club set is starting to bear fruit. It won't take many evangelicals departing to throw the GOP into permanent minority.
Look at how the Dems coddle Rick Warren. Think the Repubs ever showed that kind of support for Dobson?
Thank you juliej
Likewise my family also votes staunchly GOP and I hate to think we are a rarity

I am so glad to hear that.I hope that the trend continues and that jews will see exactly what the party of rats has in store for Israel. GO ISRAEL!
"Zechariah 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it."
"Finally, at their last stopBirkenau, reception center for Auschwitzshe screams again one last time, "Jews, look! Look through the window! Flames! Look!" And they saw the flames belching from the chimneys' of the death camp. They were then forced out of the cars about midnight, the flames in front of them; the smell of burning flesh permeating the air." [The Warnings Of 'Night']

That kind of impertinence is a luxury we cannot currently afford. It carries the bigotted stench of James Baker's notorious "F* em they didn't vote for us.
Like it or not, the fates of the US and Israel in the Middle East are yoked together.
Bumping that link to Alouette's older thread, that I'd never have seen without this...
Thank you, both of you.

So if these members of the backwards homosexual death cult think that they are so tough, come get some. ask Japan what happened when they tried.
I think that GW has been defeated in more ways than one and will accept the entire report, while not picking out the parts of the salad that he doesn't like. Keep in mind that Baker was hand selected by the Bush family many months ago. And that Baker was accompanied by weak-minded people on this committee, including Clinton operatives. IMHO, old George, using the advice of his new found friend Slick, convinced GW to have the ISG set up so that his son could move into the ex-Presidential club with grace. Originally, I think that GW had great ideas and fought hard to protect this country, but now, I think it's a matter of protecting the 'good-old-boys' club........
Ezekiel 33:7 So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me.
Wake up indeed. From the article -
Thirdly, in his testimony in the Senate on Tuesday, Gates casually mentioned that Israel has nuclear weapons. In so doing, he unceremoniously removed four decades of ambiguity over Israel's nuclear status.
Nice.
Actually it doesn't and it won't for the American Jews or Israel....because we will still stand up for and defend them, for our own sake.
They are the front line in our war with the Muslim and Arab antiwestern extremists. We can't afford to let them down.
That link was chilling.
Yes it was.
Apologies to Leonard Cohen - "Everybody Knows".

Read this article earlier today - excellent!
