And flamingos wouldn't fit into the tune of "My Way."
The only flamingos here are the pink plastic garden kind, or did you know that? I do have a great blue heron, but that doesn't fit the lyrics, either.

You haven't been studying your demogrphics. At current rates most Jews will be Israeli Jews within the next 10 years, if not sooner. Israel now has the largest Jewish population in the world (it was a mere two decades ago that New York, by itself had a larger population than all of Israel. The Jews of Israel are making babies fast, the populations of Jews of the rest of the world are imploding rapidly as they refuse to bear children (euro-disease?) and half of those pathetic few wander into assimilation. The Jews of Israel are the only ones likely to survive as significant communities beyond the next two generations.
Judaism is indeed a religion, but it is a religion with a peculiar space-time reality: it is organically tied to a specific physical geography.
